Members MsGuy Posted November 7, 2012 Members Posted November 7, 2012 By the way, nobody seems to be paying much attention but Wisconsin just elected the first out lesbian to the United States Senate. Hoorah for Tammy Baldwin, junior senator-elect from the great state of Wisconsin!!!! Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Congratulations to President Barack Obama for being re-elected as POTUS. Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 It also looks like gay marriage won in Maryland. Quote

Members Lucky Posted November 7, 2012 Members Posted November 7, 2012 California voters don't seem to want to know when their food has been genetically altered. That's a surprise. Final results are still not in... Quote
Members MsGuy Posted November 7, 2012 Members Posted November 7, 2012 It also looks like gay marriage won in Maryland. And is leading in Maine although still too close to call. Quote
Guest FourAces Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I am thrilled Obama won ... However confused why California had a ballot measure if porn stars should wear condoms, WTF? Will we see if porn stars should use only 8 inch dildos next year? Mr. Government stay out of my computer and stay out of my porn. Let the industry decide or let the people decide with their dollars. What a stupid stupid ballot question. Quote
Guest hitoallusa Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Well I think it's protect people from STDs. It will be nice that some porn studios enforce using condoms voluntarily but that is not the case and there are many sites that make a lot of money promoting barebacking and others in the industry want a piece of pie in that. So porn actors become vulnerable. If they have options to use condoms then it should be fine but the industry is going more toward barebacking so they have no choice but to engage in a risky behavior. I am thrilled Obama won ... However confused why California had a ballot measure if porn stars should wear condoms, WTF? Will we see if porn stars should use only 8 inch dildos next year? Guest EXPAT Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 It wasn't California that had that measure on condoms, it was Los Angeles County that had that measure. I think if that had been on the Orange County ballot that many old women here would have had a stroke. Quote
Members JKane Posted November 7, 2012 Members Posted November 7, 2012 Basically it just means porn production is moving out of LA. Sucks for us, a little less eye candy; probably good for Riverside / Inland Empire-type places. Which is great because they really need *any* job growth they can get! Quote
Members JKane Posted November 7, 2012 Members Posted November 7, 2012 Overall, pretty good results! 30 yes (looks like, thank FSM), 32 no, Obama re-elected, Warren elected, Alan Grayson back in the house(!), gay gains in several states-equality wise, and while I don't care as much it's good to see people continue to speak up on MJ--it needs to be off sched. I! Tea baggers taken off steep... though sadly left sitting on the counter instead of thrown in the trash (Bachmann...). It would've been nice to see the death penalty repealed... or Dems control the house, but it's great to have the opposite of Prop 8-style kicks to the gut! Can't believe other states are pioneering that, not us... Now, about that treasonous asshat media whore, Donald Trump... lookin 1 Quote

Guest Hoover42 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 It also looks like gay marriage won in Maryland. Hmmm. I'll need to find another excuse why I'm not married. Quote
Guest hitoallusa Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Oh my you are not married? What's your number? I hate when people ask me why I'm single... I don't feel sorry for myself when I tell them I haven't met a right guy but the way they look at me sometimes bother me... Hmmm. I'll need to find another excuse why I'm not married. Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 The National Organization for Marriage has finally responded to getting spanked on all four marriage ballot issues nationally, and they're crying that they lost because they got outspent, which used to be how they won on ballot issues. I guess the mysterious shadowy figures who fund them are running low on cash? "Obviously we are very disappointed in losing four tough election battles by narrow margins. We knew long ago that we faced a difficult political landscape with the four marriage battles occurring in four of the deepest-blue states in America. As our opponents built a huge financial advantage, the odds became even steeper. We ran strong campaigns and nearly prevailed in a very difficult environment, significantly out-performing the GOP ticket in every state." Former National Organization for Marriage chair Maggie Gallagher chimed in as well, bemoaning the odds have changed in the marriage game, but at least she understands just how big of a loss it was for her side. "The Obama electorate defeated marriage. I’m guessing we lose at least three of tonight’s four races, and maybe four of the four. We were outspent eight-to-one — and no one was willing to speak for marriage, while the whole Democratic establishment and Hollywood campaigned for marriage. Last night really is a big loss, no way to spin it." Quote

Mr Romney you gave a good fight and thank you for a nice concession speech!
