Oz

Love the new site. So much cleaner looking and the colors more vibrant and of course some Hot Boys Photos also helps. I look forward to exploring anything new and wish you a Big Success!!!

One comment. many of us have the old forum url bookmarked on our computer. When I logged into that url, the old page came up. Could you put up a "redirect" to get people to this new page? I found the new pages only after clicking on the link to get to the maleescortreview home page..

awesome!!!!!!!

Not so much for me but I love change and current revelance. So at least the former gets my vote.

What is boytoy? you would never know by logging on to it. For me, it feels like a mash up of the entire old site with the same tired software package, now just all mashed together on one page with different background colors. There's nothing that defines what this site is all about. (im sure that coming?).

This design feels thrown together to me only to simply capture curious surfer traffic hit behaviors.

Somehow I feel like I'm trapped in a bad Andy Warhol painting not knowing why I am here or how to get out.

And finally, the term boytoy is non existant in my circle of friends.

Actually I found as soon as you hit the log in button you are re-directed immediately to the new page.

Actually I found as soon as you hit the log in button you are re-directed immediately to the new page.

One of the more unfriendly aspects of this site is that if you are not logged into it much of it is denied to you by access denial.

The url not being automatically forwarded to this new url leaves those that do come here left in the dark.

Not exactly forward thinking for the member traffic you already have..

This is a unique, kind and comfortable "coffee chat" type of forum which draws a handful of great people but stimulates little traffic and the same numbers with new member attraction and interest. I suspect this change might make that reality much more true than it was, even before.

The updated site is really nice. The new colors and less cluttered layout not only male the site fresher and more current but gives it a fun feeling too ^_^

The old MER site should not be appearing. It has been fowarded here. Are others seeing it?

All issues you bring up in this thread, I report to the programmers and we will work on. Thanks so much!

I see it if I'm not logged in. But I wonder if it is in my cache still. It goes away as soon as I hit the "log in" button.

Just a suggestion .....

It takes a fair amount of scrolling down within the forum. The reason is because of so much on top. You have the sites header then navigation bar, followed by my Inbox, total member widget and search widget, then comes the F4F iframe after that is my user name and access to my profile inbox bar, then yet another search box ...

The suggestion would be to remove the Inbox, total member widget and search widget area. It takes up a lot of space and the functions can be accessed in other areas.

Maybe the total member widget can be placed under the boytoy logo in the header of the forum ... like you have on the home page where under the boytoy logo there is a box to click to come to the forum.

Hate to carp, but the new color scheme might turn me taphephobic. Stylish, no doubt, but the heavy black borders all round make me feel like I'm gazing skyward from a grave.

Maybe after Halloween, we could get back to something more cheerful? whistle.gif

( Fully prepared to learn, however, that my druthers don't reflect the site's new direction. )

In reviewing my earlier contributions to this thread from yesterday, it feels to me now as though they might have been interpreted as a negative assessment toward the personal efforts made to upgrade the offerings here. Not the final result. So I would like to personally apologize, particularly to the people who own and operate this site, if my current perceptions are even remotely correct.

when you highlight on the main home page under "Our Featured Guys" guys who have not logged in since 2010 and others since February 2012 it doesn't make the site feel current or in touch with whatever the page is attempting to accomplish.

I think Oz and the software team has done a wonderful job with the new site. It looks great and it is so much faster than the old site and that goes for the admin software you guys never see. In addition to speed there are some new conveniences useful for day to day site management and maintenance, including selection of our Featured Persons.

Congrats to Oz and the S/W Team.

including selection of our Featured Persons.

The "featured persons" on the home page have not logged into this site since 2010 in one case, February of 2012 in another instance, so it seems to me like the important tweeks here are being sacrificed for what is more a cosmetic and glamour makeover versus a functional and realtime go to functioning website meant to deliver current information to whomever the site is directed to.

The "city guides" links populating the entire left side of the page are non functional and refer people back to the forums which offer nothing to the surfers suggested interest. Not to any actual city, real time happenings or actual city web pages.

Makeovers are great. They enhance already in place functionability to the visitors of the site who use and rely upon it for real time resources.

This is not happening here.

So, Congrats to Oz and the S/W Team seems a bit premature here for me.

MCamp, instead of just finding fault with things, why not follow the requested protocol and send a private message or a message in the appropriate place to help OZ and the programmers to fix what they need to fix. We will never agree 100% with the decisions the site owners have made. But they are kind and gracious enough to ask for our input and I am sure they consider any serious input we offer. And it has been stated that they are still working thru some of the details.. At least they didn't take the site offline for days/weeks/months like certain other sites have done in order to "update". So sit back, relax, have a cocktail or whatever you do for relaxation, and compile your list of suggestions (which is much different from a list of gripes) and submit your list appropriately..

To kind of put this in perspective.. how would you feel if you bought a new car.. You were so excited about it and drove around showing it off to all of your friends.. And one friend in particular did nothing but tell you how you made the wrong choice, the car was a dud, had terrible gas mileage, a terrible safety report, and it will be falling apart in a matter of months. While your friend might technically be right in all he is saying, the way he berated you for your decisions would no doubt affect that friendship and after awhile, his negativity would make you stop listening to him.

I don't believe, Lurkerspeaks, that I am alone here in pointing out things in this thread about what people would like to see or what they are bugged by. I believe fouraces and lookin have expressed their own issues here as well.

I am not finding fault, I am simply pointing out what is and what is not working. Why bury such important things in forums which few visit?

maybe because that is where the site admins ASKED us to post issues.. .post comments here.. but post ISSUES "there"..

It's rather confusing Lurker because you have the same person seeking advice, guidance and comments Here in this forum as well.

And since there has been what looks like no serious forum activity in the suggestion forums for a long time, I elected to post here too.
