Guest EXPAT Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 http://content.usatoday.com/communities/entertainment/post/2012/08/comedian-phyllis-diller-dies-in-los-angeles/1#.UDKQvIl5mc0 Phyllis Diller has died in her sleep at the age of 95. She was quite the funny lady and a pioneer for women in that business. I actually saw her live a couple of times. Quote
Guest lurkerspeaks Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Sad news. She was such a funny lady. May she rest in peace Quote

Guest FourAces Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I had also seen her live a few times. She was ahead of her time and quite funny. She always wore those gloves ... she once said to cover up the liver spots.... RIP Quote
AdamSmith Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 EXPAT, the clips are divine. (One only wishes the View doyenne could hush themselves a little bit so the precious guest could get a word or two out.) Quote

Members OneFinger Posted August 22, 2012 Members Posted August 22, 2012 A Portland artist, Thomas Lauderdale (of Pink Martini), recorded what I believe is Phyllis Diller's last recording. He was at her home in January 2012 and accompanied her while she sang "Smile". This is a wonderful memory of her and a great tribute. Quote
