Guest EXPAT Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Sad news (about a week ago it was reported). It has been confirmed that porn star Nelson Troy has passed away. Details are still developing but we are hearing from multiple sources, including one from the West Hollywood mayor’s office, that the star was in Mexico at the time on methamphetamine when he was hit in the street by oncoming traffic. The one time Channel 1 Releasing exclusive had suffered a long and private battle with drug addiction. Stunningly beautiful and a force of nature, Nelson Troy will be missed not only by friends and family, but by many fans throughout the world. He escorted briefly in LA and in NYC and used to frequent "Digits" and "Numbers" in LA when it was open. He was also a go go boy at Micky's and other Weho venues. I met him at "Digits" when he joined our group for an appetizer. It's so sad when you see guys like this leave the world much too soon. Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 An open request on his Facebook page inquiring about his death: "I would like to share my deepest sympathies with you and the family. We are all shocked by his untimely death. It will take some time for us all to find some peace. I just wanted to give you all an update: Ben passed away July 21st around noon, surrounded by family members in a hospital north of San Diego. He was found in Mexico, in a dessert with multiple head injuries, NO broken bones. His body has been cremated. The family wishes to have a service for him at their own time, which will be announced in a couple weeks. His passing has been ruled a "suspicious death." Autopsy reports will take a few weeks. For now, the family is asking for your help to piece together some information. Please let us know: when the last time/date/location you saw/interacted with Ben and who he was with. Why was he in Mexico? Was he in a relationship? etc... All the information will be given to the family's investigator. Please email me at payce20@yahoo.com. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you." Quote

Members Lucky Posted August 2, 2012 Members Posted August 2, 2012 Well, who would we say it to? His family? His friends? Not likely. We'd be saying it to each other and that wouldn't be worth a lick of spit. I didn't know this guy and sure wish he hadn't suffered the misfortune that he did. But how many guys have to die before others catch on that they are playing a deadly game? We see regular deaths among these porn actors, yet they don't seem to think the same thing can happen to them. To be so stoned that you can't cross a street means you should stay inside. I understand that youth often feel immortal, but they have had so many warnings now that it's hard to feel sympathetic. And where is the wisdom of going to Mexico to do drugs? Has the reputation of the Mexican prison not been told to porn actors? Am I being too harsh? I repeat, I wish this had not happened, but it was predictable. Quote
Members msclelovr Posted August 3, 2012 Members Posted August 3, 2012 I feel Lucky is being a little harsh, but I share his sentiments. I wrote something similar earlier but decided not to post. It is sad but Nelson Troy is not the first person I know of to die, whether murdered or by suicide, after becoming heavily involved with drugs or alcohol. My generation's stimulant of choice generally is alcohol, and I used to think that the younger generation had simply chosen another. Now I feel that drugs are much more powerfully addictive and dangerous than young people realise. Quote
