That time frame might be consistent with moving to a new host but that is rank conjecture as a possibility. It might explain the mailboxes. However, for the past few days I've had problems with the site not recognizing me after logging on. I've been required to manually refresh the page. I suspect he's having hosting problems. As for identities, who really cares wHO people are as long as they are nice and respectful in their presence. A REAL person can be the biggest liar and douchebag too. When I returned earlier this morning because I couldn't sleep, it was a great discovery for me. I read posts by so many people I had forgotten about that were really interesting, so thanks for being here and allowing me to rediscover people like Tampa Yankee and Marc Anthony and so many others. Onefinger, did you read his message? if you think he is having hosting issues you should read one more time. As he has done in the past, the nasty posts got the better of him and he wanted to take a break and he doesn't trust his moderators to take care of the site. He put up a "Gone Fishing" sign to be cute and then goes into avoidance. His last post on the MB was to say he was fed up with all this shit. I will miss going there each day though because I like to read reviews of my interest, the Deli, and the two forums, South American and European almost daily if new "stuff" of my interest is there. So men, let us all revamp and accommodate "daddy's" wishes without being so judgmental. I am quite aware of the competition that has gone on here between the two sites. I am at both each day. Since then, I don't think the maximum number has got above a hundred. OZ, I've always felt your easiest new user is from that site when it's down. All those guys (and girls) and nowhere to play. I just checked and it seems the "DaddysOnVacation" domain name is unused. The fact that it may also lure those looking for a DaddySonVacation is just a happy coincidence. But those of us who have been around for a few years are familiar with Daddy's meltdowns/nervous breakdowns or whatever when he all of a sudden packs up all of his marbles and storms off. Everyone deserves a vacation. But no "business" should be that reliant on a single person that it has to cease operations for that vacation to occur.. And, one of my biggest gripes from prior shut downs is this.. Yes, the board is property of Daddy, but at the same time, I believe it is also the property of all of those people who have posted there. There is a lot of valuable information on the messageboard there, just as there is here. If a "vacation" is needed, why can't there be a way to leave the board open for viewing but closed for new posts? That way if someone needed to get some info, it is there to be had.. Instead, the way the "vacation" is taken, it appears (to me at least) to be another case of the spoiled child taking his toys away so no one can play with them. I could understand a little bit his pain and agony in dealing with the forum so I didn't say anything more. In a sense I can understand him in my perspective and I hope others can extend the benefit of the doubt to him. After all it's his site and he needs a break from it once in a while. This is where I disagree with you, Hito...I believe a public forum like these message boards are partly the property of those who make them what they are--the people who post on them..I know that might not be the case, legally, but morally, I think we ALL own the site.
