Actually, if you look at it historically, we are all pretty damn well off. But, since that is small consolation, why not just compare ourselves to most people in the world who do not have all of the creature comforts that we do. Imagine some Chinese farmer paying a boy $300 for sex. I doubt that happens. Am I defending the current distribution of wealth? NO, just trying to put some perspective on it. The rich have always had the upper hand, making themselves richer, usually at the expense of the poor. I don't see that changing. Quote
