Members Lucky Posted June 19, 2012 Members Posted June 19, 2012 The Pakistani Supreme Court has ruled that the Prime Minister, Yousuf Reza Galani is not legally entitled to hold the office since he was convicted in April on a contempt charge. I wonder if they cited Bush v. Gore as precedent. you remember that one? That's where the US Supreme Court decided who should be our president. Those judges, can't fool 'em! Quote
Members MsGuy Posted June 19, 2012 Members Posted June 19, 2012 LOL, but I doubt our own dear Supremes were acting as a stalking horse for the Army High Command. Gotta love politics in Paki-land. Quote
TotallyOz Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 When the Supreme Court overturns Obama Care perhaps the people of the USA will realize the SCOTUS is just a bunch of political junkies like me. Quote

Those that sow the wind shall surely reap the whirlwind," Hosea 8: 4 & 7. If the Supremes, God bless their heathen souls, insist on reading Victorian political & economic theory back into the Constitution, there will be hell to pay down the road. There was a lasting settlement the 1930's that questions such as this were to be decided by the elected bodies of the Republic. For all I know, ObamaCare will turn out to be a colossal fail. But better that is judged by Congress and the President, not SCOTUS. Quote
Members lookin Posted June 20, 2012 Members Posted June 20, 2012 Apropos of nothing, I learned today that Pakistan does not let gays into the military, a policy which may one day bring the generals to grief. Personally, I wouldn't care to tangle with the two hijras below, and feel confident that they would be a match for any terrorist who got in their way. They would certainly know how to put a working coalition together and keep it together. Quote

Members Lucky Posted June 20, 2012 Author Members Posted June 20, 2012 Apropos of nothing, here is a list, actually two lists, of countries which do allow gays to serve openly in the military. Should Pakistan go to war with India, it won't be the gays leading the charge: http://www.palmcenter.org/research/nations%20allowing%20service%20by%20openly%20gay%20people Quote
