His first two singles were dance song’s, “Stand Up” focuses on spreading the message of change. The black eye on the cover symbolizes how he felt beat down by the music industry because of his sexuality, through his music he can now “Stand Up” against it. They really tried to make him keep his sexuality private or they wouldn't promote him.
