Guest EXPAT Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Alex Trebek said in an interview that he's thinking about retiring but, after hosting Jeopardy for 28 years, he's tempted to stick around for two more years. I think Anderson Cooper would be perfect to take over Jeopardy but he has too many other good jobs right now. But he could take a ticket from the Ryan Seacrest playbook and do yet another job? Who do you think can take Alex's place? Quote
Members RA1 Posted May 7, 2012 Members Posted May 7, 2012 A lot of folks could and have made "average" game show hosts but few have had the staying power of such as Trebek. I think it takes a certain kind of personality and "interest" to not get bored or "lured" away. It also might take a little "less" of the "Hollywood" ego to do this long term. No one comes immediately to mind but I will be pondering this for a while. Best regards, RA1 Quote
Members JKane Posted May 7, 2012 Members Posted May 7, 2012 STEPHEN FRY! Though the format would hamstring his intellect. I always got the impression Trebek is nothing special without his que cards... Guess I'll just have to make do with QI. Quote
