I am disappointed. I've only been to two on this list. I've been to Per Se and Daniel in NYC. But I would add Boulevard in San Francisco and one in Budapest called Gundel. http://www.gundel.hu

Daniel, Gundel and Boulevard are my top 3 favorite restaurants in the world.

Gundel wasn't so super in 2002. Surprised that NEXT didn't make the list along with ALINEA. And I have good info from someone that H2O isn't doing so well. If any foodies are thinking of going.

Restaurants like Alinea has a very well connected sponsors, investors and collaborators. Food is great but there are many other factors that can be rigged in a list like this. So let's not put so much weight on it and let them celebrate their hard work. Congrats all but my mom's home made food is on the top of the list or dish a true caring friend makes is the best for me. ^_^

And of all places, I've had sushi all over the world and my all time favorite sushi place is 2 miles from my house in Laguna Beach. Who would have ever thought that?

Also in Laguna Beach is THE BEST mexican place I've ever eaten in. It's called LaSirena Grill. It is unbelievably good. I could eat there 7 days a week too. That's also a couple of miles from my house. How lucky am I?

Wow, not a single place in LA, only two in all of California? None in Vegas either despite all the high-dollar celebrity chef type places their as well? This list seems a bit snobbish and Paris-centric, to me. But on the other hand maybe the food in France really is *that* good!
