Guest FourAces Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 As most know from my original thread due to losing everything at the casinos I have to return to working a regaular job. Something I had been able to avoid for years. Anyway the reality hit me today only 10 days left Its been so long since I have had a normal job I don't even know if I can do it. I'm a bit nervous even lol. Though when I think about getting paid again and also the benefits it makes it seem like the right choice ... not that i had much of a choice. The health insurance benefit alone will save me nearly $600 per month ... so even though the pay sucks it is like putting a extra $600 a month in my pocket just on that benefit. Well I am gonna try o at least do a nearby trip for a few days since I won't be able to get any days off for at least 6 months. Maybe I'll head down to New Orleans. Can NO be done on a budget? Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I wish you luck. I may have to do the same thing after all of my medical expenses this year. I've also been able to avoid going back to work as well so far. But it all depends on how my health insurance deals with my "stuff" this year. But maybe for both of us, going back to work would/will provide a brand new perspective on a bunch of new stuff. Who knows. . . Quote

NO can be done on a relative budget. Based on BiddingForTravel.com you can get a 4* room in the French Quarter in the $60 per night range on priceline. Airfare shouldn't be too bad from Dallas. Plenty of hole in the wall places to eat. For a culinary treat try Dick & Jennys http://dickandjennys.com/. Lot's of other fine dining. Go. For. It. Quote
Guest hitoallusa Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Wow FourAces good luck with your new job.. How about visiting local park near your area and go to a local restaurant. That's a treat for me. Besides you don't get tired right from air flights or driving either. Quote
