On the weekly report it says that Brian of boxertravels has passed away today.

He was a man that did a great deal for the Thailand gay community with his fantastic web site.

He will be very much missed.

Rest in Peace Brian

How very sad. I had heard that he was back in he UK and the fight with Cancer was not being won.

Thank you Boxer for your ready smile and all those wonderful photos of events in Thailand.

I can't seem to spot anything on the Weekly report?

Martelly - Thank you that brought it up. It reads:

"Special Announcement

It is with great sadness that we report the passing in Bangkok earlier today, Thursday November 22nd, of our friend, colleague, and co-editor of the PG Weekly Report,

Brian (Boxer) Wigley

Further information will be posted as it becomes available"

Weekly report

He spent his time mostly behind the camera rather than infront.

Here is a shot from his website of him enjoying his birthday at Disneyworld Hong Kong

I didn't know Brian personally but I knew of his contributions to the community and saw him at most of the events I attended here in Pattaya, camera in hand and smile firmly planted on his face.

It's sad that people who take the time and make the effort to give something back have to go.

Requiescat in pace, Boxer

MY FRIEND and EX-PARTNER.

The saddest thing about growing old is outliving your friends.

The older one gets the more funerals you have to go to.

In better times.. Brian seen here (red hat) on my right (I have the 6 shooters) with our staff at Partners Bar Birmingham 1989.

He was a great man and a wonderful asset to the community in Thailand. His pictures were one of the reasons that intrigued me and made me take my first trip to Thailand and they continued to keep me feeling like I was a part of the community when I was away.

To his friends and family, my sincere condolences.

This is truly a sad day, you could not wish for a nicer guy, I last saw him a few months ago buying a new couch for his apartment, he said he had some Insurance money pay out.

I'm sure he will be now meeting up with "David of Pattaya" who also passed away with Cancer, and who did good work for Gay Pattaya.

It is such a shame when so many characters die at an early age, I knew Brian very well and even offered to get him his www.boxertravels.com back, as I knew who now owns it, but the last thing he said to me "ear wig its now just to late".

Such a shame who will ever replace him, if at all possible.

God bless his sole and family and lover.

I was informed right in the middle of the Thanksgiving dinner at the Amor. Gaypattayan was also having Thanksgiving dinner there and he told me. I understand his death was caused by complications from prostate cancer. We are all deeply saddened by such news.

His web site is still online. If you have not seen it, the URL is http://www.boxertravels.net

For once words fail me. They say a picture speaks a thousand words. Khun Deer will be devestated.

R.I.P, Brian/Boxer. Met him a few years back and, like David in Pattaya, was more than eager to help out the newbes. Will miss him and his photographs which kept us all posted of many events and places in Thailand.

Condolences to his family and friends.
