Good Morning Mr. Bond

I'm not sure where to post this so it can be moved if needed. Sometimes on here, I like to talk about things in my life which is unusual. Most of the time, I don't let anybody know about my personal life ever. So I thought I'd let you know about this part of me...

I've always been into spies and espionage. I think BURN NOTICE is an awesome show (have you ever noticed how the guy starring in that does hardly any interviews ever? At least not on video.) I have dabbled in playing spy games. There are even places that will let you "become" a spy for a day but most of those are in the UK. I like anything that can simulate as close as possible to being a real spy. I remember once how a CIA agent in one book mentioned he was meeting a new "contact" and they are taught to BE ON-TIME to every rendezvous. Short of a nuclear detonation, you find a way to get to every meeting to do what has to be done. Michael Westin is right though..a lot of spy's work is just waiting for inordinate amounts of time for a few minutes of action.

Anyway if I play a game then I like it to be as interactive as possible. For example, there was a game years back that would text you and email you with critical information. I think that those kind of games are awesome! You're on your email and you get a message saying, "The agent in Bratislavia is dead. You're in danger. Contact me now." It makes me feel so excited!

So I've started playing a few new "interactive" games. The First one is an iPhone application that incorporates "walking outside" into a whole spy agent mission. It's been raining here so I haven't tried it but I really want to. That game is called CODE RUNNER.

The next game is a website that I stumbled across. It looks like something based in Denmark online but they have an English translation. It is called TWINKOMPLEX . The psychological test alone is a bit "unique" to say the least.

I was going to try doing a cool scavenger hunt in Chicago last year.I had booked an escort

and everything for 2 days. Not too long before the event, he mentions to me in an email that he thought the hunt sounded kind of corny. I was so upset. So I cancelled with him pretty quickly and quickly found somebody else who accepted. They then mentioned to me in a later email that they could only do one day with me and it wasn't the day of the hunt so I cancelled with them too. In the end, I ended up not going at all because I couldn't PAY somebody to go with me. I also like those "interactive murder mystery" games too! A lot of people don't do those because they think they're childish and silly.

Anyway I thought that I might share that information with all of you. If you have read this then congratulations, YOU have completed your first mission! There will be other missions to follow!

Lol gccursor you are so funny.. You should have invited me! I would be there in no time! I think the media makes spies interesting and fun. Some do enjoy the fact that they have access to something others don't and that's why they stay in the field.

What people don't see is that you don't have to be a spy or a CIA agent to obtain some info that changes lives. It's already among us. You just have to train yourself. I think that is more interesting life than being a spy for someone else. Why be a spy when there are many exciting things in life you can get out of it. ^_^

I love love love dinner murder mystery events. I've been to two of them and I solved one of the murders and won the prize for the evening. These events can really be fun and a completely different kind of evening. Everyone at dinner took on a role and started behaving like their favorite mystery solver. I loved it.

I thought I might update you guys on that online spy game I started playing because it's getting a little freaky.

I work for a company which really works for nobody. It appears that it is based in Berlin. The founder of the company once ran a widly successful financial investment firm and sold it for millions of dollars years ago. The mission I was assigned is to find a missing woman who is important to the agency. Another agent was sent to find her before but that agent vanished along with most of the clues they had except for..one. They found a SKYPE user name on a piece of paper. I searched on SKYPE and found a person with that name who lives in Switzerland. I've IMed them and haven't heard anything back from them yet.

Don't worry..I won't tell her I'm investigating a woman's disappearance and that she is suspected in the disappearance of an agent. Besides I kind of googled this clue and another game review site said that at one point they were asked to look up a Skype user which they did. They contacted the Skype user and apparently had a pretty good conversation with them through IM. They believe it was a bot doing all the work though since it's highly unlikely that a person would want to be sitting around babysitting this part of this game FOR FREE for the rest of their life.

Anyway I'll let you guys know what I find out...

oh and don't tell anybody about this..the agency wouldn't be happy if they found out that I mentioned this...

Michael Weston is cool and I like the show. I love his mother and have since Cagney and Lacey. Of course, I loved her most in Queer as Folk as Deb. I missed her and was glad to see her on this show as I think she has great talent!

Will it be comsidered another Bieber prank if the person in Switzerland isn't a game participant/bot and a real person nothing to do with the game? I'm amazed just doing a search on a person on Skype generate only one account? Anyways, I hope you can solve your case. Finding a missing person is a very difficult job. I hope they give you enough clues.

I love the idea of Burn Notice, but there's something about the smarmy-ness of that actor (especially in voice-over) that gets on my last nerve.

**ESPECIALLY** when his voice over is actually a typical USA/NBC infomercial for Hyundai/Toyota/whomever!

But Sam, the mother... like them. Fiona needs a sammich though!

Oh yes, I think you're talking about the game "Majestic." I played that and loved it!

That is indeed the game Hoover42! Today, I made some good headway on the case. That woman that the SKYPE account is for hasn't contacted me yet but she is the wife of another man. That man has a "waste disposal" service all on the up and up...except he also uses it to dispose of nuclear waste illegally. His wife (the Skype account) supposedly knew about the business but she has been very difficult to find. I met earlier today with this guy who sells information. THe first bit he said he would sell me for free..it was the interrogation video of the waste disposal guy at the police station

I have a very high respect for people who create games like this on the web. As the web is constantly changing, it's difficult to keep these games and their "media" in place on the net for a month let alone longer.
