Guest buckeroo2 Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 The last I read on this forum, the need for a stamp from the Thai Foreign Ministry in order to renew a Thai retirement visa was cancelled. Has anyone renewed or applied for a new Thai retirement visa recently that can confirm this stamp is no longer required? I am coming to Thialnd in a few weeks and I would like to come straight to Pattaya unless I need this stamp in which case I will layover in BKK to tale care of this matter. Thanks guys. Quote
Gaybutton Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 You do not need the stamp. The decision to require it was done away with. You can come directly to Pattaya. Quote
Guest Geezer Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 I renewed my one year retirement extension in Pattaya a month ago. No intercourse with Bangkok was necessary. Quote
Gaybutton Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 No intercourse with Bangkok was necessary. Considering how much intercourse is available in Pattaya, I'm hardly surprised. Was any contumely with Bangkok necessary? Quote
Guest wowpow Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 For those of us less erudite than the combatants above: Contumely One might think of a marriage of Con = to deceive and Tunmely = tumescent means a false penis? No it means noun 1. insulting display of contempt in words or actions; contemptuous or humiliating treatment. 2. a humiliating insult. ======================================== Intercourse does not mean what one eats between the starter and the pudding it means: in·ter·course /ˈɪntərˌkɔrs, -ˌkoʊrs/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[in-ter-kawrs, -kohrs] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun 1. dealings or communication between individuals, groups, countries, etc. 2. interchange of thoughts, feelings, etc. 3. sexual relations or a sexual coupling, esp. coitus. ========================================= Cancelling the stamp requirement was seemingly at the request of several Embassies. Even so it is the only decision that I have heard of from Immigration this year that I welcome. Quote
