HES BACK!!!!!

This winning Combination will make a successful Club, Plus another many million Baht for the owner, I hope the New Manager has negotiated a percentage.

Handsome Guys, Competitive Bar Prices, and the best Cabaret the customers want to see. Plus this ALL NEW TOPMAN has one of the best warm homely decors in Pattaya.

As I have always said about TOPMAN, to only receive a Barrage of lies, insults and fantasy, from one mentally sick person, to try make me go away, as we all know the truth does a lot more damage then lies…I stand by all I have said and to prove it, I now can happily predict TOPMAN is going to be the next NUMBER ONE, In Place to visit, as many of my avid readers know, I receive many hot tips and inside information about people and the going on’s behind the scenes, most of it I would never repeat, but this time, I have had mail that I am pleased about.

The winning combination of Lou Lou taking over TOPMAN and an amazing proven Manager/ choreograph taking over the reins, you will have to book early, as I don’t think there will be an empty seat in the House.

This guy who is going to knock the shows in Pattaya, screaming and shaking back to what customers want not what they are given.....His proven artistic record is the best you could have ,, he constantly helped fill another Top venue in BOYZ TOWN with the aid of the ever genuine Boss there and now he is going to take on Sunee Plaza.

With all new Hot shows planned from the 14th December. They will have a completely eye popping, show twice nightly. One at 10.30pm and the other at 11.45pm.

Some old popular faces from Throb show, as well as some hot new ones. Will bring you some fabulous entertainment.

They already have amazing shows lined up for the Christmas period, which will be advertised shortly.

Oh I forgot, Who is, going to up grade and revolutionize Sunee Plaza, to make it not only a Go Go Bar with Cabaret, but more like the atmosphere of a Northern Club in the 70.s where you see old friends and have a happy face, to greet you, some thing that has been lacking, lets face it, anyone with NO sense of humor should never in involved with the paying public, as proven, it was a disaster zone, but now a shinning light is taking over.

YES who is this person, who can do so much, to breath life into a dying old dinosaur and make it in to a Pretty Peacock.

Well a clue is her Camp name is Marsha, she wares sequined jackets, she some times, high lights in the show and get others to do so, she packs in the customers and also like some one else, I can mention, when your built up, as a success story, they love to knock you down, so go and ask Marsha your self, the real story of his final days as the hostess with the moistness, the Girl they all wanted to wine and dine, The hottest Club organizer in town, MR MARK, Previously of Throb fame….I wont leave his last name.

Go early if you want a seat, in this amazing combination, of Hot fun, Hot Men, Hot Shows, Happy drinks, and a mine host, who knows how to make you feel welcome. and now Air Con that works.

If I understand your post correctly, all this begins December 14. Is that correct? That's still a month away. Will there be anything in particular taking place there between now and December 14?

"Hi,

just to let you know,[ for anyone interested] Mark, formerly of Throb has been given the job at Topman to try and get the shows updated and on the Map.

I don't know which former showboys will be going with him.

The new person in charge is Lu Lu, the French guy who has Kaos or whatever they are calling it today.

This is only information and I have no involvement or financial interest at all."

The more talk a club or bar gets the more customers they get. People go to check it out. Remember Niddy's Nook? It was hated but I along with many went there to see it and enjoyed it and were regulars. PR is often a good thing no matter what the spin.

I read that Niddy's Nook went bust and closed down.

as distinct from empty heads promoting it!

tired old boyztown shows meet tired young Sunee go-go dancers - I am peeing in my adult diapers with excitement!

This is all fascinating, but is anyone going to answer my question? What will be going on, if anything, at Topman between now and December 14?

Excitement will build, sequins will be sown, lips will be lubricated for lipsyncing, bodies will be buffed, until Pattaya is in a fevered frenzy of anticipation. The tickets for opening night will become only available on the black market at vastly inflated prices. Dance and Theatre critics will jet in from around the world. Red carpets will be rolled out.

Oh the giddy thrill of another drag show in Pattaya.

Was in Topman tonight. Spoke with Mark and he says nothing will change until th 14th December.

The old show will remain until then. It will then move to one of Lou Lous other bars in the area.

He said that there will be a lot of changes and they will start from the 14th. It will be the all new Topman Chippendale show. Not a lype sync in Tow.

I agree for once with earwig, when Mark was in Throb, it was the best bar in town. Only time will tell if he has that same magic to turn Topman around.

I don't understand why some people feel the need to chop apart the bar show before it ever even opens or is seen by anyone. If it makes you feel better, I'm among the people who don't like bar shows. For me, when it's show time it's also get up and leave time. I don't enjoy watching boys in drag, lip syncing, or lady boys with breast implants going topless on stage and I definitely don't enjoy the music volume at a deafening level.

However, obviously plenty of people do enjoy these shows and many bars typically fill up for show time. Also, it is true that when Mark was with Throb, the most common comments were that it was the best show in town. Since Mark will be putting together the show at TopMan, you might at least consider seeing the show before trying to cut it down. Other than fulfilling some sort of urge to be mean, what are you trying to accomplish? Are you expecting a bar show to rival a Tony Award winning Broadway musical?

While one is "peeing in my adult diapers with excitement!" and another is feeling "the giddy thrill of another drag show in Pattaya," the fact is you don't know what the show will be like until it opens. You might keep your mind open about it as well.

I'm not brimming over with anticipation about the prospect of a new bar show either, but before passing judgment on it I'm at least going to see it for myself. If it turns out to be another drag and lip sync show, then that will be another bar I'll leave when it's show time. But maybe it won't be like that at all and maybe it really will be something new and exciting.

Personally, I am one of those guys who love the stage shows and the drag shows. I don't like the sex shows or JO shows. It does nothing for me. My favorite bar in Bangkok for years was XTreme as it had the best show and every night I was in BKK, I was there to see the show. I love these shows. I loved the show at Throb/Splash when the fat girl was the diva there and I really enjoyed seeing that show. I don't know Mark well but I wish him luck. If he is able to bring that quality of a show to Sunnee, I'll be impressed. I wish Topman the best of luck.

On another note, I deleted a thread today about Topman. Why? Pissing contests. Don't start a thread if you are unable to take the heat. There is no need for nasty comments, gossip, and mean spirited remarks. That should be kept to those beach buddy gossip groups sitting around talking shit. This forum is not the place for it.

There is only one other location in Sunee that has a better facility than Topman IMHO. That bar is the old girl showbar and has amazing potential for someone with the extra income to fix it up. I have toured inside it and it is simply amazing but to my knowledge hasn't been opened in years. Topman has a great facility and a nice location. It will do well if it is able to bring a nice show with some sexy boys.

I'm definitely with you on that. I had merely locked the thread. I'm glad you took it a step further and got rid of the thread entirely.

This board is for posting information about legitimate issues, venues, and goings on within Thailand and within the gay scene. It is definitely not here for people to be fighting their personal battles online or posting accusations. Some of those battles are fought between people who know each other. If they can't handle the idea of personally discussing their problems, then they can fight their personal battles by PM.

I also see no need for pissing contests here. If you want to piss, go to the Men's room.

Whether I do or don't like a given show, I wish the new/revised venue well.

The difference in posting styles couldn't be more clearer than in this thread. Kevin's post, as quoted by Wowpow, is simple news without the girly giddiness and sashays of gossip expressed higher up in this thread. When I read a post wondering if the poster was reaching new orgasmic heights while thinking that his minions (us, I guess) will shower him with rose-smelling tampons for granting us the largesse of his secretly-held knowledge, I simply want to barf.

Of course not, which is why it is counter productive to try to hype it as if it is!

Sheeeeeesh! I give up. I think everyone who has read EarWig, and that's probably everyone except total newbies, knows his writing style. So what? The point is, whether it's a lot of hype or not, he does manage to provide useful venue information quite consistently. I could do without the hyperbole and hype too, but that's EarWig and he's not going to change. I'd much rather put up with his writing style and be informed of these things, and disregard the hype, than be without the information.

What would you have us do, force him to tone down his writing style so that it suits those who can't tolerate it? Do you want to put him on your ignore list and have a moderator rewrite his posts in a more subdued manner so that you don't have to read the hype? I'm not going to volunteer for that job. Do you want us to put him on moderated mode and first submit his posts to you for approval and/or editing before allowing them to appear?

Very simple. Given that EarWig is unlikely to change his writing style, then if it really bothers people that much, put him on your ignore list and find out these things on your own.

I agree entirely with you GB, that the information is the important part. The original information in Wowpow's post would have piqued my interest. The embellished recycling of this, with it's implications of "this is the news that no one else has", by an acknowledged plagiarist, would have driven me away.

I wouldn't have you do anything, but if Barnum is barking, don't be surprised if he gets heckled from time to time.
