Guest ear wig Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Another Canadian Man hunt in Pattaya/Thailand on pedophilia charges.today. How would the staff at Ben Masions let a man up to a room with an 8 Year old boy, its amazing to me. Police are regualy seeing who is in every room, nightly now 2.30am I only know as I was in the Internet next door to see the raid and the guy next to me said tis a regular thing.....at night. Not a place I would want to stay, but I think its from 400 baht a night, I hear the beds are very hard but the action is hot. I think its more a short time Guest House really. Next time I come to Thailand, I'm going to try the new Moonlight Hotel on Soi 16 they says its great and 580 baht a night. I now undestand Mr Mader, 54, of Kitchener, Ontario, left Thailand on a flight to Vietnam on Monday and Interpol had been contacted to help track him down, police said. ''A seven-year-old boy and other Boys now rounded up in the area, have identified him and many other farangs, who have been with underage boys, from a number of pictures of Caucasian tourists shown to them. If they are caught they could face up to 40 years in prison. An Update now:- He has Now has been caught in Vancouver Canada, after hearing he was a wanted man in Vietnam this week. lucky guy unless they extradite him of course, then he will be fattening the Cock roaches in Bangkok Hilton with the rest of them to eat. Also an update now on a story featured yesterday concerning the abduction of an 8 year old Boy from the Carrefour Shopping Center. He was allegedly taken by Khun Yotsapan aged 24 and he was then “sold” to foreigners for sex. One of the Hotels used by the suspect was the Ben Mansions in Soi VC, which is the same hotel as Christopher Neil, a Canadian arrested earlier this month in Korat, nicknamed “Mr. Swirly” stayed. He was dubbed as the worlds most wanted suspected Pedophile. We can now report that another Canadian National who stayed at the same Hotel is also wanted in connection with this case. He was named as one of the foreigners who allegedly had sex with the 8 year old boy. CCTV pictures from the Ben Mansions were taken by Police to confirm his identity and a copy of his passport was also obtained. An arrest warrant has been issued for Mr. Orville Frank Mader aged 54 who, at this time, cannot be located. Police were told that he paid 500 Baht to have sex with the boy and similar to the Christopher Neil case, he his now subject to an intense man-hunt. Police are urging Mr. Mader to hand himself in as soon as possible or if anyone knows him, please contact Pattaya Police as soon as possible. The Canadian Embassy are also involved in locating the suspect and all border crossings and Airports have been alerted to detain the man if he attempts to leave the country. http://www.pattayacitynews.net/news_31_10_50_3.htm Quote
Gaybutton Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 How would the staff at Ben Masions let a man up to a room with an 8 Year old boy, its amazing to me. This is one time I agree with you. What has not yet come out is just how this boy, or any other boy in that age bracket, ended up in the room, although I'm not ready to start making accusations about complicity involving Ben Mansion just yet. Perhaps the boy was sneaked in somehow by someone else. Maybe certain staff members accept bribes. Maybe it's something different. At this point, I don't think enough information has come out about it, but that's one question I would like to see answered: How do these boys get to the rooms? Even if it turns out that Ben Mansion and/or its staff is entirely innocent, they too have been hurt by these incidents. People are likely to be quite reluctant to stay in a hotel at which their room will probably be raided every night. Quote
Gaybutton Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Maybe this will make a few of them think twice before preying upon children in Thailand. The following appears in the BANGKOK POST: _____ Wanted Paedophile Arrested in Canada Police in Canada have arrested Orville Frank Mader, 54, who was the subject of a manhunt in Thailand after reports he abused boys as young as 8 years old. Canadian authorities in Vancouver arrested Mader, who had fled Thailand to his home country after a warrant was issued for his arrest, said Pol Col Apichart Suribunya, head of Thailand's liaison office for Interpol. "We have asked Canadian authorities to extradite him because he has committed crimes in Thailand," said Pol Col Apichart. Mader is accused of paying 600 baht to an eight-year-old boy last Saturday night for oral sex. Police said they believe Mader abused at least three other boys. Mader allegedly stayed in the same hotel as Christopher Paul Neil, 34, another Canadian who was detained in Thailand two weeks ago following a worldwide manhunt because he was wanted on suspicion of having sexually abused young boys. The Thai police warrant for Mader's arrest issued early this week was accompanied by photos of Mader taken by security cameras at the Ben Mansions Hotel in Pattaya. According to Thai police, Neil has also had checked into the Ben Mansion two days before his arrest in Nakhon Ratchasima. Mader allegedly stayed in the same hotel as Christopher Paul Neil, 34, of Maple Ridge, who was detained in Thailand two weeks ago on suspicion of having sexually abused young boys. The Thai police warrant for Mader's arrest issued early this week was accompanied by photos of Mader taken by security cameras at the Ben Mansions Hotel in Pattaya, a sex-trade hub 110 kilometres south of Bangkok. According to Thai police, Neil has also stayed into the Ben Mansion. (BangkokPost.com from agency reports) Quote
Guest ReneThai Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 How would the staff at Ben Masions let a man up to a room with an 8 Year old boy, its amazing to me. Police are regualy seeing who is in every room, nightly now 2.30am at night. Nothing than gossip , the suspects stayed at Ben Mansion , and could have been any other place . There is no news article that mentioned that the boy came in a room of Ben Mansion , it only stated that the suspects stayed there. One newspaper article mentioned a shophouse where the boy was taken . Rene Quote
Guest Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 It is my understanding that all hotels have CCV cameras in their hotels. Is this not true? If so, it seems that it is easy to find those involved in taking the very young back to their rooms. Also, is it not now law that every bar have a CCV outside the establishment? Is this also enforced? To me, it seems easy to track one from place to place if this is in effect. Quote
Guest ReneThai Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 For me it is quite clear that the boy was not taken into a Ben Mansion room. The pictures of the CCTV camera only show the check in procedure of the suspect. If the boy and suspect went to a room together , there sure must be pictures as well. The picture of 3 young boys going into a shop/hotel was not taken in Ben Mansion .It shows something like a sliding door , which Ben Mansion doesnot have. I will sure stay there again in January . last week there was an arrest at Diana Estate , building C , where I also stayed many times .Any reason to avoid Diana Estate in the future ? Surely NOT . Gaybutton Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 The following appears in the BANGKOK POST: http://www.bangkokpost.com/breaking_news/b...s.php?id=123376 _____ Canada May Free Wanted Child-Abuse Suspect Vancouver, Canada (BangkokPost.com from Agencies) - A Canadian court says it let a convicted child sex abuser wanted in Thailand free on bail, because the government has not filed an extradition request to bring the man to Thai justice. The court told Orvile Mader, 54, who ran from Thailand after police issued a warrant for his arrest, that he can go free as early as today if he simply agrees to conditions that keep him away from places frequented by kids, such as playgrounds, schoolyards and community centres. The court appears likely to free Mader even though he has already successfully fled from one conviction for child abuse and paedophilia in Cambodia. Canadian media noted that Mader was convicted in Cambodia of similar charges this year. Information used to obtain an arrest warrant for Orville Mader says he was convicted in absentia in Cambodia for debauchery for offences that occurred in 2004. Mader made a brief court appearance at court in Abbotsford on Wednesday via video link, to confirm he has obtained a lawyer and will make a bail application on Thursday, Vancouver time. Mader has lived in Asia for years, and fled hours before his arrest last week on charges he had sex in Pattaya with an eight-year-old boy. Mader was arrested last Friday after stepping off a flight at Vancouver International Airport and held under a protective order after a provincial court judge ruled he could present a threat to children. Thai officials have said they will ask for Mader's extradition on child-abuse and rape charges, but the court and Canadian prosecutors said they have heard nothing from the Thai embassy or government so far. Gaybutton Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 According to today's PATTAYA MAIL, the boy was taken to Ben Mansion after all. The PATTAYA MAIL article is far more detailed and up-to-date than the previous articles posted. See for yourself: http://www.pattayamail.com/current/news.shtml#hd9 Quote
khaolakguy Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Article in Pattaya Mail says that the Thai pimp in this case specifically states that he took the boy to have sex at Ben Mansions, and it sounds like with more than one guest pervert and on more than one occasion. Never quite understood why ReneThai was so insistent that this didn't happen. "Police officers then went to Soi Sunee Plaza where they quickly found a man, identified as Yospol Srawichai, age 24 and a resident of Saraburi, walking in the street with the boy. Yospol was arrested and taken to Pattaya Police Station for questioning. Jo told the officers he had met Yospol at Carrefour. Yospol asked him to come and play games in his room. However, he had been taken to Ben Mansion on Soi Sunee and forced to provide sexual services to foreign men. He received 100 baht on each occasion." http://www.pattayamail.com/current/news.shtml#hd3 Quote
Gaybutton Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Never quite understood why ReneThai was so insistent that this didn't happen. I agreed with ReneThai, and I still agree with him. I don't think he was insisting that it didn't happen. I think he was merely pointing out that assumptions were being made when there had been nothing, at that time, to indicate that anything took place at Ben Mansion at all. I think he was right to point that out. Now that the PATTAYA MAIL article indicates that this did indeed occur at Ben Mansion, we now know the facts according to the article. But we did not know the facts at the time ReneThai made his statement. Now, to my mind, the original question is now appropriate to ask, in light of the PATTAYA MAIL article: How did the boy (and apparently boys) get into rooms at Ben Mansion? Quote
khaolakguy Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 For me it is quite clear that the boy was not taken into a Ben Mansion room. Rene I would call that insisting that it didn't happen. Quote
Gaybutton Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 I would call that insisting that it didn't happen. I suppose he should have used the word "probably," but yes, I suppose that is being insistent. I can't disagree with you. Either way, to me the more important issue is how the boys ended up in the rooms. Quote

The boy was not taken into a room of Ben Mansion , Rene Rene, you are quoting from the original articles of 31st October, as was the poster who opened this thread. The subsequent investigation and it's findings are quoted by me and Gaybutton above, and were published in the press yesterday 9th November. I can't really understand the determination to deny the admission of the pimp himself, which is that offences against the child took place at Ben Mansions. It may be that additional offences took place elsewhere.............. Quote
Gaybutton Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 The PATTAYA MAIL article states, "However, he had been taken to Ben Mansion on Soi Sunee and forced to provide sexual services to foreign men." I don't see how, unless the article has the facts wrong, an assumption that the boy was not taken to the room can still be maintained. If the boy was not taken to a room at Ben Mansion, then why would the article be written this way? Quote
