Normally they announce the winners of the Razzies the night before the Oscars, but this year they waited until then to name the nominees and they will announce the winners of the Razzies on April 1st. I'm not sure why the change, but it is what it is for this year. "Jack & Jill" got 11 nominations which is the most in Razzie history for one movie.

The Razzies were finally announced last night (April 1st). This is the first year they waited to do the announcement on April Fools Day. And "Jack and Jill" was the biggest winner taking home 10 Razzies as the worst of the worst of 2011.

These gratuitous awards always remind me of a gaggle of bitter old maids who felt they were left at the alter when in acutality not only did they not make it to the church, they never got a proposal. Those who can't do, bitch.

That is not to say there are no bad movies. There are plenty and it is fair to share. It's just pathetic to see someone trying to make a success of themselves out of someone else's failure.

Maybe so. But these have a history along with the Oscars. In this case I think it was well-deserved. I've frankly never saw a good Adam Sandler movie. I'm not a fan at all. So I would never see anything he his in anyway.

One Adam Sandler movie to see is Spanglish. At least in my opinion.

What I cannot understand is how Dennis Dugan keeps getting directing gigs? He must not shoot much film and so brings in these turkeys under budget while getting little from the cast. Lucky for him that he has had the "fading" comedic talents of Adam Sandler until now.
