Members JKane Posted February 21, 2012 Members Posted February 21, 2012 Santorum surging all over the map and now this? Brokered convention clusterfuck here we come? Gonna need more popcorn! Two Charts That Should Make Romney Gulp Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 That's very interesting regarding size of donation. That tells me that Romney only has the rich Republican establishment supporting him and that's it. If he doesn't have a grass roots following then he will never even get close to a national election win. And I really don't see how Santorum can get there either. I wonder how many of the candidates that backed out already wished they hadn't backed out now since it appears it is still wide open. Quote

"This dipshit from Texas doesn't stand a chance!". It does seem dire, but *if so* we need to press that advantage, take back the house and break their fucking superminority in the senate. I'm worried some game-changer will come along, maybe an assassination attempt, and really screw things over. Quote

I think that the Republicans have now decided to wait until 2016. Chris Christie anyone? God, if *he's* their rising star, the best they've been able to groom him and massage him into place, it really is the end of the Republican party, isn't it? Who, exactly, has a good opinion of the man? I'm not an east-coaster, do the people of Jersey love him so? Because everything I've seen of him makes him seem like a bully, blowhard and nitwit. Which could get him a hell of a career on right-wing radio, but it's hard to imagine many voting for him... Quote
