Guest lurkerspeaks Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 While trying to figure out my vacation plans, I thought I would try some dates and see what old time favorite Atlantico Copacabana is asking these days. I looked at a 6 nite stay, starting on June 7, and departing on June 13. The rate was over $350 USD per night. I cannot imagine paying that much money for those rooms. Quote

Especially when you can stay in 5 Star Hotels in Thailand for 1/3 of that and the same in Colombia for 1/2 that. Only expense account people can afford Hotels in Brazil. It's apartments or a different destination of which there are many. Quote
Members ihpguy Posted February 21, 2012 Members Posted February 21, 2012 I found the 3-star Debret in Copa for 2014REAIS total price. And it is located on the beachfront Avenida Atlantica. Perhaps you need me as your travel agent? Quote

Members axiom2001 Posted February 22, 2012 Members Posted February 22, 2012 Thanks for the offer, but I will be staying in an apartment when I return. Just thought I would see what the Atlantico was trying to get.. My good friend and I stayed in a wonderful apartment for almost 10+ days back in October of 2011. We used the same agency as TomCal and felt so good with the experience. By our staying in an apartment, we had complete freedom. We had guests and friends over. He had breakfast daily at our apartment; I had it there sometimes. When we would have guests--they'd briefly check in with our very accommodating door men and come on up. My friend even had a friend who stayed with us for three days. This was definitely the way to go in terms of price, facilities, and privacy! We even began to feel like locals after a while. You can get the contact information and website in the "Forum for Southland" escorts here. Quote
