Guest Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 You have to be patient if you are unable to get into any site. No need to post unless you can't get in for over 24 hours. Shit happens on all sites and sometimes they don't work. Be patient and give them some time to get them live again. The best thing to always do is to e-mail the owner when a site is down as they may not know it is down. Example: Today, we were down for an hour. Why? There were too many users on the site and we had the connection number set to 256. Once that number was exceeded, the server gave time out errors. We had the programmers increase that to 1054 connections. My hosting company sends out e-mails when an error occurs and they start to work on it. I was in bed when this started and they waited till I woke up to fix it. It took only 2 min once I knew of the problem but I am sure the site was down for an hour before. Just an FYI Quote

I would note that I accessed the same forum from Chiangmai many times during my recent 3-week stay and I never had a problem accessing it directly. Puzzling. Quote

Guest wowpow Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 There does not seem to be any Government Censor ban of Sawatdee but several Internet Servoce Providers block it. Internet shops that I have used in Bangkok often have it blocked. To get around the block you have to use a circumventor such as ear wig suggests. This fools the ISP into thinking you are going to another computer and then that one bounces you to Sawatdee. Google circumventor for plenty. Quote
