My old company is the foremost company on data warehousing. it's actually easier than you think. But most companies have no idea what data they have and how to use it. But every time you walk in the door and start looking around they get info. On Amazon.com they keep track of where you browse and they send you emails of sales on things that may have interested you in the past. Of course doing that online is easier than when you are in a retail store. Quote
