Guest EXPAT Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I love this cover of the upcoming Vogue. Her next single will drop in March and it's the 4th single from "21" and this one is called "Rumour Has It". Quote
TotallyOz Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I loved her performance at the awards last night and I love her voice. I can't wait to see what her future holds. Quote
Guest lurkerspeaks Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Not sure who her stylist was for last night, but whoever it was, he(she) did a fantastic job. I thought Adele looked beautiful. Quote
Members JKane Posted February 14, 2012 Members Posted February 14, 2012 Hopefully she doesn't take the Fiona Apple "talented singer with mega hit first record then..." career path! Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Song of the day. This is so beautiful. I hope this will be the 5th single. They are releasing "Rumour Has It" next in the US. Presenting Adele singing "Turning Tables" on Letterman. . . And her current single "Set Fire To The Rain" as sung in her Royal Albert Hall DVD. Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Adele just broke two huge records. Her post 6 Grammy win has proven to be very lucrative for her. She is once again at #1 with her album called "21". And that means she has also been #1 for 21 weeks which breaks the record that Whitney Houston has held for all these years with "The Bodyguard" soundtrack that spent a total of 20 weeks at #1. Adele looks to extend that 21 weeks even longer. She sold 730,000 copies last week alone of that album. After 52 weeks on the chart already, she had her biggest sales week this week post Grammy's. In all of those 52 weeks she has never left the top 5 on the album chart. And with this week she has sold over 7.3 million copies in the US alone. Pretty soon there won't be any fan that doesn't own their own copy. The Grammy's and Billboard said that this is the largest post - Grammy boost in the entire history of the Grammy's. And on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, Adele also has 3 songs in the Top 10 this week. That is another feet that hasn't been done before by any female artist as a lead on 3 singles in the Top 10 at the same time. She not only had a sales bump on her album, but she also had a huge sales bump on her first three singles where were still on the chart and two of the songs that had fallen down the chart re-enter the top 10 based on this weeks sales alone. This is just amazing for Adele and I love her talent and this is so deserved. As a PS to this performance by Adele, it should be noted that Whitney Houston's single "I Will Always Love You" is also in the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 at #3 this week. That's also amazing for a 20 year old song. Whitney's "Greatest Hits" album is also #2 on the Album Chart which is a new high for that Greatest Hits package. And sales continue to soar. Quote
