Guest FourAces Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Just when u thought flying could not be more unstable .. between the TSA BS Homeland Security BS Airline BS and now we have pissed off Air Marshals who happened to be armed Report: Climate of 'mistrust' in air marshal program WASHINGTON -- The Federal Air Marshal program is rife with acrimony between supervisors and air marshals, creating a climate of "tension, mistrust, and dislike," according to a report by the Department of Homeland Security's Inspector General, due to be released next week. A copy was obtained by NBC News. Nearly half the members of the program's work force fear retaliation, more than half believe favoritism is tolerated, and one-fourth feel they've been the subjects of discrimination, the inspector general found. Even so, the report says, these problems "do not appear to have compromised the service's mission." The review found no proof of widespread discrimination or retaliation. Instead, it found a pervasive perception that there's a problem. Air marshals, it said, "repeatedly portrayed their supervisors as vindictive, aggressive, and guilty of favoritism." Read The Rest! Guest FourAces Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Ironically, One of my brothers who flies several times a month got into it for the first time with the TSA yesterday. They wanted to strip search him and he told them to fuck off. Long story short they backed off when the local police got involved in the argument. I guess the police at the airport he was at were getting tired of dealing with complaints about BS practices with the TSA so they are more involved ... interesting. Quote
