Members TampaYankee Posted January 18, 2012 Members Posted January 18, 2012 There is not a single Republican candidate that can beat Obama IMO. True, there are many voters that 'hate' Obama and many more that want to see his policies go, but nowhere near a majority will vote for one of these GOP turkeys. Obama will be running with or against the economy. That is his opponent. That and any potential unforeseen events that could overtake the election. That could have been very different with other, serious GOP candidates who, in the end, decided not to ride the right-wing crazy-wave through the primaries. Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 I agree with you completely. And this morning they reported that 45% of the American public believe we are in an economic recovery. That will help Obama in the upcoming election as long as this continues on this path. Even Jamie Dimon (CEO of JPMorganChase), who I can't stand by the way, says that we are in a slow recovery as well. He even admitted that a slow recovery usually lasts longer because it is done at the base of the economy and not with gimmicks than a faster recovery. Quote
