BiBottomBoy Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Anyone going to see it today? I want to but the French release date is later than the rest of the fucking world. If anyone sees it please let me know if it's any good! Thanks! Quote
Members MsGuy Posted December 21, 2011 Members Posted December 21, 2011 I found the book a little tedious in places. I don't see how it can be translated into a movie w/o either confusing viewers who didn't read the novel or boring those who did. Or both. Just my 3 cents worth. Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 I plan on seeing it but probably not until next week. Quote
BiBottomBoy Posted December 21, 2011 Author Posted December 21, 2011 I want to see it now! Daniel Craig and his blue eyes while he fucks someone is my idea of a perfect movie. Quote
TotallyOz Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I want to see it now! Daniel Craig and his blue eyes while he fucks someone is my idea of a perfect movie. LOL Bi, are you just picturing him fucking you? I did see Mission Impossible today and loved it. And, yes, I was picturing me fucking Tom Cruise. Quote
BiBottomBoy Posted December 22, 2011 Author Posted December 22, 2011 The thing is I suspect we'd all have better odds with Cruise than with Craig. Quote
Guest Hoover42 Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 The thing is I suspect we'd all have better odds with Cruise than with Craig. Daniel Craig has played a guy willing to have sex with men before. Maybe he has some actual experience along those lines Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 I saw it today. It was excellent. It was intense but it's the first movie this year where I didn't look at my watch throughout the entire movie. The leads were excellent. I may have to go read the books now. Quote
Guest hitoallusa Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Are you amused by the inflation? 2 cents -> 3 cents.. 50 %!!! I have never read the book and I don't think I will see the movie either unless one of my friends drag me to see the movie.. Just my 3 cents worth. Quote
BiBottomBoy Posted December 23, 2011 Author Posted December 23, 2011 Expat, if you read the books be aware that the second and third book are much better than the first book (though the first book is cool as well. It's just that the first book is good, but books two and three are great.) Quote
Members axiom2001 Posted December 29, 2011 Members Posted December 29, 2011 I plan to see it before the new year or on January 1, 2012. My 2nd cousin's wife saw it on Christmas Day, but, unfortunately, she failed to relay anything of substance. Quote
Members BigK Posted December 30, 2011 Members Posted December 30, 2011 I plan to see it before the new year or on January 1, 2012. My 2nd cousin's wife saw it on Christmas Day, but, unfortunately, she failed to relay anything of substance. Seen it. Loved it. Saw the Swedish version. It's well adapted from the Book and I liked it better than it's Swedish counterpart. Really liked Christopher Plumber as Vagner. I wish it was doing better at the box office. Quote
BiBottomBoy Posted December 30, 2011 Author Posted December 30, 2011 Given that it's the biggest selling book of the last five years I'm shocked it's not doing well at the box office. Quote
