Members Lucky Posted December 12, 2011 Members Posted December 12, 2011 Going to Brazil? Good for you. The dollar has risen 9.4% this year against the real, and is currently at its highest exchange in 2011, 1.817 reais to the dollar. Small comfort for those of us who first encountered the real when it was over 3 to the dollar, but you take what you can get. Going to Prague to met Tomcal at the boy bar Escape? The dollar is up 1.7% on the Koruna, which means you get almost 19 of them for your buck. Thailand fans can now escape the flooding and get more baht for their bills. The dollar there is up 4.9%, giving almost 30.9 baht per dollar. I have seen it as low as 22, so this is good. Well, inflation probably accounts for something here too. Euros are holding steady, with no change. The British pound is up on the dollar, but only slightly, at -0.4%. Finally, those going to Montreal for New Year's Eve will see only a paltry rise of 2.2% for their dollars. If you are simply looking for the best results, the dollar is up 15% in India, 14% in Poland, and 19% in Turkey. Your best bet, though, is South Africa, where the dollar rose 22%. Quote
Members RA1 Posted December 12, 2011 Members Posted December 12, 2011 I think the USD bought about 30% more Mexican pesos recently than earlier this year (about 9.5 vs. about 13. I am sure there are currency bargains out there if one just looks hard enough. Is Mexico passe now or too dangerous? I realize the thrust of your post is about boy watching or boy meeting venues. So, you point is interesting. Best regards, RA1 Quote
Members Lucky Posted December 12, 2011 Author Members Posted December 12, 2011 "You point is interesting?" Yes, I thought it was. Did it only focus on boy places, or did it focus on places that members here have expressed an interest in? Take it as you will. If I missed a country that you are interested in, by all means, speak up and add that information. My statistics were year to date increases in the dollar, and the Mexican peso has lost value. The dollar is up 10.1% in Mexico so far this year. For the record, I went to Mexico last two years ago, and hired no boys. Unless you count a lap dance. And you probably do. Quote

I would think it had opportunities similar to the Czech Republic, at least resource wise. The same for Germany, for which all I ever hear about is the skin head and BDSM scenes. There must be more to it. Maybe someone will take this up in the European forum. Rhetorical for this forum. Quote
BiBottomBoy Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 About a year or so ago a euro was worth 1.60 while it's now at about 1.31, so there has been some improvement there. Plus, I suspect that in the next couple of months the euro is going to get even weaker. It's becoming clearer and clearer that they need to devalue the euro in order to get out of this mess. Quote
