TotallyOz
It is so sad to me that still in the USA we have our young people struggling with their classmates. It simply breaks my heart.
Members Lucky
I agree that it is powerful and tells a common story that is a shame to be so prominent in our society. But am I so cynical as to so wonder if the kid is an actor performing a role? Would the story be so powerful if told by a really nerdy guy who was not at all cute? Well, yes, I guess it would. OKAY! Before I posted this, I decided to do a little more research, and my cynicism was dealt with just today (Watch the other video first!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7HkOaLFzGw
Members RA1
I wish I had had professionally manicured nails when I was 14. Who knows what is "real" any more? He certainly sounds "gay" in the second video, more so than the first but we did not hear his voice in the first, did we? Best regards, RA1
Guest EXPAT
This broke my heart when I saw it yesterday. The judgmental nature and meanness in some people just slays me. I just don't get it. I have to assume that it is deeply rooted in their own prejudices and insecurities. I was bullied all through school, but ignored all of it and didn't let it get to me because I had a plan that didn't include anyone I went to school with. I knew even back in junior high school and high school that there was a lot more out there and that I was getting out when I turned 18. And that was way before the internet and all of the exposure we get today. And of course back then, we didn't have Facebook or Twitter or instant text messaging to the entire school that would have to make it so much worse. Maybe he did his nails himself, you know. I didn't notice them though.
Guest FourAces
This kid had a different video about 6 months ago. Also the follow up video has been removed by him. He is a actor ... a creative one.

Members Lucky
FourAces, that is not the deleted video. In that one, he was alone. Here he is with his friend, and chewing gum and acting more like a kid.
Members BigK
Bullying is so wrong. Did anyone see the recent Extreme Makeover Home Edition where they built a new home for a family who lost their 11 year old son/brother to suicide when he hanged himself in the staircase of their dilapidated house? The family started an organization to help stop bullying. It was very moving.
