episevilla Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Gentlemen, a new, nice stay in Colombia! It is amazing how young men are into mature and older ones. I spent two weeks in Medellín and Cali, mostly in the first city. The Poblado Alejandria Hotel is quite nice, with good furnishing and service; not the Plaza Rosa hotel, very noisy and old (I asked the university to change the hotel, to the good one). I had no problems of recieving guests. I met a selection of the guys who wrote to me by Manhunt. I met also one or two through facebook. From 21 y.o. to 31 y.o. local guys, I had nice meetings almost everyday. With one exception (a very muscled guy, who models underwear) they were not call boys. I visited the sauna Club de Tobi at Calle 47/Carrera 43, nº 88. A good place, easy to meet great men. The massage guys are very attractive as well... I had a nice encounter with one of them, great head on / by him and great muscle body. Summing up, a great country for older men. Epi Quote
Guest lurkerspeaks Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I have always wondered about Columbia. I have a favorite webcam on cam4 that is from Columbia, plus have seen many smoking hot pornos featuring Columbian twinks. Is there any sauna scene there like in Brazil, or is it more just a freebie scene instead of a rentboy scene? Quote
Members RA1 Posted November 14, 2011 Members Posted November 14, 2011 I am going to Columbia tomorrow but it is SC not SA. However, thanks for the report. Best regards, RA1 Quote

episevilla Posted November 15, 2011 Author Posted November 15, 2011 Well, with the exception of the masseurs at Tobi -being the best a certain Adrián, 27 y.o., great body and good lover-- people there are just customers looking for a nice experience. But it seems there is another sauna, Portobelo or Portobello (easy to place in Facebook, Medellín) wich offers 'boys' service. I visited the place but it was empty, so I cannot judge. Many young men are interested in older men. More than in Brazil. There is no need of call boys, really. Quote
Members pauleiro Posted December 11, 2011 Members Posted December 11, 2011 From a discussion with brasilian friends in Brazil, I understood that many Brazilians go to Columbia to find cheap and good boys. Bogota is presented as a safe place to go to, which was not at all the case when I visited it long time ago. It seems that boys are available in the saunas also Quote
Members axiom2001 Posted December 11, 2011 Members Posted December 11, 2011 Ever since there has been a plethora of boys from Colombia on "flirtforfree," I've been highly interested in venturing to this country. They're handsome, hot, and hung! Plus, the personalities that some have exhibited have been to my liking! I must get there one of these days!!!! Quote
TotallyOz Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 I have a friend there now. He has been sending great photos which make me want to visit there. He is having a blast and I can't wait to hear his final thoughts. Quote

No doubt it is just my perverted mind, but in a country known for its past, full of violent death, to say that you are hoping for your friend's final thoughts after he has a blast sounds rather um, well, morbid? LOL I have a lady friend who lives in Columbia and many friends that live there. They are upper class and as such, I have never listened to them when they said Columbia was safe. However, this is now my 3rd friend who went there and not only said he felt safe, it said it was paradise! Quote
Members TampaYankee Posted December 12, 2011 Members Posted December 12, 2011 I was very pleased to see that no Colombian cities placed in the Ten Most Dangerous Cities article. I've heard there has been improvement but I believe the State Department still issues a caution. One of their cities is on the Most Inexpensive Places to Retire too. Just wish it felt a little safer for Norte Americanos -- this one anyway. Quote
Guest FourAces Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Thanks for the report and I agree about the hot guys from Medellin on F4F Quote

Members JKane Posted February 8, 2012 Members Posted February 8, 2012 Very nice, please feel free to flood the forum with more about these hotties! I feel like I missed out on the 'golden days' of Brazil, with it now being too expensive and a pain in the arse to get to. But info on getting in on the ground floor of a similar trend in Columbia is very interesting! Quote
Guest lurkerspeaks Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I feel like I missed out on the 'golden days' of Brazil, with it now being too expensive and a pain in the arse to get to. JKane, it is very true that Rio is much more expensive than it was 5 or 10 years ago.. but then what isn't? But bargains can be found there if you look hard enough.. and let me give you a little pricing refresher for Rio.. Entrance to sauna--$R30 Cabine (room) in sauna $R25 Boy at sauna...$R70 all combined and converted to USD, about $72 and if you have two different programmas on one sauna visit, it comes (or cums) to about $125. Or if you have two boys at one time (threeway) it is about $115 And don't forget the Quality of the available boys in Rio.. Hotels may be thru the roof now, but you can find a nice rental apartment for around $100/night, which is still a decent price compared to many major US cities. Quote
episevilla Posted February 9, 2012 Author Posted February 9, 2012 I agree. Hotels may be too expensive, but the sauna and guys are not. Nor the apartments. By the way, in Meio Mundo they ask me for 50 reais; that is less than 25€. And the guys, at least the three I met there in Sept., were really great. Quote

Yeah, but the flight is looong, pretty expensive, and getting a visa for the first time seems a PITA requiring a fair amount of planning in advance... unfortunately my employment is either plenty of money NO free time with things coming up at the last minute OR suddenly lots of free time but no money. IF Columbia is cheaper, shorter flight, no visa BS (?), and the boys are even giving it away for free... Quote
Members firecat691614502759 Posted February 9, 2012 Members Posted February 9, 2012 Definitely no Visa for US citizens. From most US cities the flying time will be 1/2 the time to Rio. There are definitely some nice Hotels in the $100 range and some fabulous apartments (appear to be much nicer then anything in Brazil) If you go to VRBO.com and look in Cartagena, Bogota and Medellin, there are many beautiful apartments available short time. I will not rehash what I and Episevilla have posted about the boys . They are certainly available anywhere from free to a price that is still less then one boy will cost you in a Rio Sauna. This is not meant to be a knock on Brazil but just to make it plain that their are other choices that have not been discovered yet by many of us. I will be returning in March and plan on spending time in Bogota and Cartagena. I have already made many contacts on Gayromeo and my English Fluent Boy that I met last trip is also lining up some possibilities. He would make a fabulous Tour Guide for anyone who is making their first trip and wants to have a Bi Lingual guide who also happens to be great in the sack. flipao 1 Quote
Members Lucky Posted February 9, 2012 Members Posted February 9, 2012 Delta can get me to Bogota in 12 hours and 12 minutes for $1513. The next cheapest flight is on Continental at $1930 and takes 14 hours and 26 minutes. If I flew from LAX instead of PSP, Aeromexico could get me there in 14 hours and 5 minutes, but for only $736. AA is 9 hours and 15 minutes, at $740. Quote
Members firecat691614502759 Posted February 9, 2012 Members Posted February 9, 2012 Lucky Look on Kayak. $598-$661 8-10 hours on United Continental or Spirit from LAX. Quote
