I just saw the previews for My Week with Marilyn, about Marilyn Monroe in London. It looks quite good, and stars Eddie Redmayne and Dominic Cooper, both of whom were quite popular in their respective Broadway shows- Red and the History Boys.

Also looking good at the previews was War Horse with Jeremy Irvine. He's another cutie. The movie is based upon the children's book, which also was the basis for the current popular Broadway show of the same name.

What are all those little red spots on his face? Does he have measles?

Yes Hi...I love MISSION IMPOSSIBLE but enough is enough. This keeps reminding me of those stupid FRIDAY THE 13th movies that keep getting churned out year after year after year. I can't even TELL you the last time I saw Tom Cruise in something OTHER than a spy role! He did that KNIGHT AND DAY movie and those MISSION IMPOSSIBLE movies. I go to the movies and yell at the screen, "OKAY Tom..I get it! You can play a spy! Very good! MOVE ON with your career! Expand your roles!" then a new year comes around and another MISSION IMPOSSIBLE movie is churned out.

The movies wouldn't be bad except they keep using so much of the same technology and stunts from previous movies. I mean these people work with cutting edge technology. Even James Bond upgrades his gadgets film after film. They've got this unlimited budget to buy whatever they want and we get tech gadgets from 3 films ago. Really? Did we have to buy stuff at the USED SPY GADGET WAREHOUSE to cut back on costs? and don't get me started on those Tom Cruise scientology sessions he holds on-set with everybody.

anyway I have to roll my eyes when I see the movies and say, "Good lord, did ANYBODY write anything new for this movie?" It's an over-exaggeration but you can still see a lot of the similarities in all the films. Also when the last one had PHILLIP SEYMOUR-HOFFMAN (sp?) as the bad guy?I saw the preview for that and almost fell over laughing. I was like, "That's the evil bad guy?" He looks like the evil bad guy's driver.

anyway that's just my thoughts...

I agree with you. What about Immortals. I think the main character is hot. He was in Tudors.

I was unaware that Tinker, Taylor... was coming out. Wonderful story IMO. I would definitely see it if I attended movie theaters. I do not though because of age-compromised hearing combined with poor theatre house acoustics. That and sitting immobile for that stretch is a bit of a burden on my knees. Guess I'll have to wait for Blu-Ray.

Le Carre is one tedious writer but he could spin a good yarn when he actually got past his mind numbing attempt to paint, with words, the trees, shrubs and wall paper everywhere and actually got down to story telling. Reading Le Carre really brings home the point that, with the right author, there is very little distance between paint and pain, in spelling and in meaning. :o But I'm a big fan of George Smiley. It was disappointing to seem him killed off. :(

TY you seem like a young man from your posts. I hate going to the movies but I go there when my friends go. There was a guy who I liked and he loved going to the movies so I sat through movies just to please him. He and I are still good friends. Other than that I like to watch movies at home so I can stretch my legs. I get distracted as lot though so rarely sit through a movie at home though.

My friend Dylan Vox who is a former porn star and now an actor in hundreds of B-movies has a new movie hitting the DVD shelves on Tuesday. It's called "Longhorns". In the pic below he is not one of the three guys but Dylan's name is at the top. You can also see Dylan at MJs in LA/Silverlake on Tuesday and Friday's where he is the host of the evening. He is also performing on stage in Hollywood in some play/musical. He has as many jobs as Ryan Seacrest it seems. You can read all about it at

FYI: For Mission Impossible, it is impossible to ever get enough. ^_^

I saw J. Edgar yesterday and it was fabulous. I love Leo and thought he did a remarkable job. Clint Eastwood is a fucking awesome director and the entire movie was a joy to watch. There were lots of other great acting like Dame Judy and the lover of J. Edgar. The cast was excellent the the story was told in a beautiful way. As you can tell, I really liked it.

ps. Thanks for the links to the other movies, there were several I had not seen trailers of and am happy to know they are coming!

Haven't seen J. Edgar yet, but read that the Lover is played by Armie Hammer grandson of Billionaire Industrialist Armand Hammer.
