Making a trip to Pattaya tomorrow

Recommended Posts

Posted

I'm accepting a last minute invitation from a friend to visit Pattaya tomorrow, and I don't have much experience in the scene. Humbly seeking anyone who can help provide some of the informations below;

1. Accomodations, there're informations on the thread.. but is there any hotels that has 3 bedrooms? like a suite, or something.

2. Differences between Boyz town, and Sunee Plaza. Why the price difference? (I'm just worrying if the Sunee Plaza is the mafia zone... <_<

3. This 1 is abit difficult. Is it easy to find newer boys working? I want to find somebody relatively new to the bar scene, and bring him back to Bangkok with me. Far fetched?

4. Is the off fee still 1,000 - 1,500thb? more is appreciated?

5. Any bars has more concentration of northern boys?

Welcome to Pattaya...You should have a good visit :-)

Q1 - There are hotels which have suites or 3 rooms...can better advise you if you can tell us...

How long you plan to be in Pattaya?

What daily price range are you thinking of for the room?

Any area preferred in Pattaya? Jomtien Beach area or South Pattaya ?

Q2 - Both Boyztown and Sunee Plaza area are fine to enjoy the clubs in;

have a sociable drink in chairs that are fronting the clubs; or stay in the hotels available.

Prices usually higher in Boyztown...off fees, drink prices, food and hotel.

I think that is because that is where it all started...Boyztown...but there are many choices of Gay Pattaya to

see and enjoy now. Easy to get around in Pattaya - with 10 baht price of a baht bus trip.

Q3 - I am sure many Thais would welcome the opportunity to join you for a visit to Bangkok :-)

Are you talking of short visit (several days or weeks) with you in Bangkok? ...

or actually living with you in Bangkok long time ...Or???

If in Sunee Plaza area....in Happy Boys Bar or Krazy Dragon...for example:

Just ask several questions as the boys go from table to table dancing...

Tip them 20 baht and ask them several short questions...

Where are you from ?

How long have you been in Pattaya ?

What did you do before you came to Pattaya ?

If you have a preference ...ask...

Are you gay or straight ? (some will tell you and some will hesitate to answer... not knowing what you are looking for);

If you see one you are interested in..and the short questions satisfy you...invite the dancer to sit with you...

or if you are at Happy Boys Bar ...go upstairs to the Mezzanine level to get to know the Thai better...

Then decide whether to off or not..."Up to You".

Q4 - Off fees are from 250 to 400 baht - depending on the club, bar, restaurant for waiters, staff, dancers, doormen, boys etc,

paid to the establishment when you off any member of their staff; plus a tip to the staff member for their time

accompanying you - this tip is "up to you" - but usually ranges from 500-1000 baht for short time and 1,000 - 2,000 baht for overnight/day rate.

You can be more generous if you wish ...and will be appreciated.

Q5 - Might I suggest the Happy Boys Bar - up from the Marina Inn - Sunee Plaza area...

along Soi Yensabai - a short 5 minutewalk.

Most are from North Thailand - most from Isaan..Northeast Thailand. Many to choose from and they do aim to please :-)

Off fee is 300 baht...a must stop when in Pattaya.

Another suggestion is Krazy Dragon in Sunee Plaza...

and also ...Visit the La Cage Bar/Club on Soi VC near Sunee Plaza...

the Waiters at La Cage are from Northeast and Northwest Thailand - Udon Thani and ChaingRai areas.

Wherever you go - might I suggest you...

Be sure to check ID cards for a photo to match the one you are seeking to off...and their age.

If NO Thai ID card - then PASS them by - take NO excuses!

Hope this helps a little...and I am sure others will follow with their suggestions...

Enjoy Pattaya ...

The "off" fees are never as expensive as that. I think you may be confusing "off" fees with appropriate tips.

As far as such suites are concerned, I may be wrong, but I know of no gay-friendly hotels that offer such accommodations because there is no demand for it. If you want that kind of suite, then you'll probably have to try the luxury hotels, but don't expect them to be particularly gay friendly.

I don't know of any bars in particular that have concentrations of northern Thai boys. If that is something important, then simply ask him where he comes from. In Thai, that's "bahn koon yoo tee nai?"

It's also difficult to determine whether a boy is new to the bar scene. If that's what you're looking for, then maybe you should change your approach and try not to seek out bar boys at all. Many boys work the beach who don't work in the bars at all. Also, restaurant waiters are not bar boys.

Regarding why Boyz Town is more expensive than Sunee Plaza, your guess is as good as mine. I don't know why, but nevertheless that's the way it is.

I want to bring someone back to stay with me long time. It's difficult to find somebody here in Bangkok, because most are already 'rooted'.

Thanks for the answers anyway.

The transport system is by bus? 10 baht?

Hi again,

Yes, the local baht bus (back of a pickup truck fitted with two side bench seats)

is 10 baht for most of Pattaya and the Thai rate is 5 baht per trip.

I use it all the time...no problems...and always hand the driver 10 baht...

for local South Pattaya to Jomtien Beach ...or within South Pattaya..or from South Pattaya

to Cenral Pattaya....If going from Jomtien Beach all the way to Central or North Pattaya,

the driver probably will ask for 20 baht...and that is OK with me.

Not knowing your likes...I do not how best to advise you...about a Thai to join you in Bangkok...

but I do not feel you will have a real problem finding a sincere Thai - if you look and ask :-)

they are out there...and are looking for a "jai dee: good hearted farang...boyfriend.

Again, Good Luck and I hope your trip to Pattaya is a pleasant and happy one for you.

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated (especially to travelerjim). It's much easier for me to move around than new visitors, because I can speak Thai - I really need the reassurance that I'm understanding it correctly. >_<

1. I like northern boys because I like chinese looks, but there're lots of nice looking folks from Issaan too. I'll be looking out. :p from the way you sound like, you want to introduce the Mae sai boy to me? :D

2. Is it better to book hotels at the bus station, or is it better to go look?

3. I didn't want to open another thread, so I'm asking here (and the long-term residents probably knows) - Are there any shops that I can find high heel shoes for transversites? (related items, includes wigs etc).

4. Other than waiting for the sun to set, and the bars to hit. Is there anything interesting about Pattaya in the day time?

Noy, you really must be joking? I think you should just come to Pattay and find out for yourself. As for "new visitors" I think anyone with half a brain could move around Pattaya with no difficulty regardless of what language they spoke.

Le Cafe Royale in Boyztown certainly has two room suites consisting of lounge and separate bedroom (plus, of course, en-suite bathroom) !

Come on guys! Isn't there anyone on this forum who has a Thai Ladyboy who can tell Noy where he can find some heels, spikes, wigs, bras, panties, etc?

Don't be bashful.

Sure. There is a costume shop that probably carries those kinds of things located on South Road (Pattaya Tai) just west of the Third Road traffic light.

If that doesn't fit the bill, ladyboys are not exactly difficult to find in Pattaya. Ask them where to shop for those kinds of things.
