Members lookin Posted October 26, 2011 Members Posted October 26, 2011 Lately it seems I have to keep scrolling left and right in order to read posts. Unless I make the text very small, it goes off the right hand side of the screen. Until a few days ago, I could make the text much larger and it would wrap around and fit perfectly within my browser window. I use a Mac and I've tried it with both Safari and Firefox. Both require me to either keep scrolling left and right, line by line, or squint to read the tiny text. I think OZ mentioned something about a software update a few days ago, and I wonder if that has something to do with the change. If so, is there a tweak that will bring all the words back on the page? Or will I need to keep my mouse slipping and sliding like Madame Zara on a Ouija board? Quote

Guest gcursor Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 seriously RA1? You actually think that or you're just saying it? gcursor Ouija boards are dangerous, so, just be careful. Best regards, RA1 Quote
Members RA1 Posted October 26, 2011 Members Posted October 26, 2011 It depends. Yes, I think they can be dangerous if one puts too much stock into them and the "reading" has unfavorable portents. But, why do you ask? Best regards, RA1 Quote
Guest gcursor Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 I had a bad experience with an OUIJA board once and don't use them anymore. I just wondered if you believe in evil spirits and all that. Gcursor Quote
Guest gcursor Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 I might as well tell my story. It's Halloween and it seems to fit with this topic. Some years back, I knew this guy who was into spirits, OUIJA boards, and the like. He never really "liked" me in a sexual way though. However for his birthday, I ended up buying him some time with a street hustler I knew. We drove my car out to this deserted location and it was kind of fun. First I played in the front seat with the hustler then he came up and played with him while I sat in the backseat. But I digress... This guy talked to me one night and told me that I had spirits who followed me. He said that it's normal for everybody to have 1 or 2 spirits that follow them around. I had SEVEN! What's worse is that they were all EVIL spirits! I did start to become alarmed when I heard this. He said that we could use the OUIJA board to communicate with them and discover their true intentions. I thought to myself, "Well drive home to my parent's house where I will fall asleep out of boredom or stay here and do OUIJA with this hot guy who doesn't like me sexually and STILL fall asleep!" He dragged out the OUIJA board onto his bed and asked me to put my hand on top of it. I looked at the OUIJA board and said to him, "When was the last time you dusted this thing?" He grabbed my hand and he started to ask questions. At first they were kind of fun. "Who are you?" Answer:Evil. "What do you want?" Answer;Evil. I sat patiently and sighed enduring the tedious nature of the process. I said, "Okay, let me ask a question now?" I asked, "Do any of you have a big dick?" My friend snatched the OUIJA board away from me and said, "You CAN NOT mock the spirits!" I said, "I'm not mocking the spirits. I am trying to find a date since I know YOU don't want to have sex with me!" Immediately the OUIJA board was LAUNCHED at me at a quick speed which I narrowly avoided by dropping onto the ground. Then as I arose, he said "You have angered the spirits. You will be cursed!" and I said, "Okay but can we find out about the big dick question. I'm lonely tonight! I mean so what if they're evil? I just need 2..maybe 3 minutes?" My friend immediately replied, "Get out!" and that was my encounter with an OUIJA board Quote

Members lookin Posted October 27, 2011 Author Members Posted October 27, 2011 Of course I am delighted that my cry for help has at least spawned another frolic by the denizens of MER, and perhaps assisted in the exorcism of a few of gcursor's erstwhile demons. I have no doubt that, henceforth, he will get laid hard, well, and often. And please don't trouble yourselves further about my incipient blindness. I believe I may have found a workaround. Quote
Members lookin Posted October 27, 2011 Author Members Posted October 27, 2011 I'm so embarrassed! It turns out my browser has two ways to zoom a page. One way zooms everything, and the other way zooms the text only. I always have it set to 'text only' which keeps everything inside the browser window. Somehow, perhaps the work of a recently exorcised demon, it became unset and thus spawned all my troubles. Fixed now, I'm happy to say, with a click of a button and all that's left is to try to understand whatever possessed me to think that TY or OZ or any of their trusted programmers could possibly have done something to interfere with the impeccable coding that underlies the MER website. What could possibly have put such a thought into my head? Quote
