Members KYTOP Posted October 21, 2011 Members Posted October 21, 2011 Oh my, another politican and rentboy accusation. The Short of the story: A NJ Mayor visiting Orange County Ca. and seeks a Rentboy at 3am to his hotel room. Mr Mayor allegedly pays $500 for giving said rentboy a blowjob and jacking off. Then in moment of sexual afterglow and conversation, Mr Mayor allegedly promises Rentboy $20,000 of recording equipment and a BMW 6 Series car. When Mr Mayor does not follow thru on verbal promise to one night stand Rentboy, Rentboy starts website and e-mails link to various persons and NJ media to ruin Mr Mayor's reputation. Mr Mayor is married with 2 kids, a military vet and past Republican candidate for Congress that supported REPEAL of DADT. Here is a link to the story and the story contains a link to the unamed escort's website where he names the Mayor but escort remains anonymous. http://www.phillyburbs.com/news/local/burlington_county_times_news/website-alleges-mayor-paid-for-sex/article_b5cd3228-4e56-55c8-a8fc-a5d7859220fc.html Now why wouldn't this be considered Blackmail or Extortion on the part of the Escort? I could make multiple comments and observations about this story but I think my comments might be too long. Quote
Members Lucky Posted October 21, 2011 Members Posted October 21, 2011 I think it was unfair of the newspaper to print the story without knowing who was making the allegations. These are career-killing charges. Since anyone could create an anonymous website to make any kind of allegation, there simply has to be some better way to verify the credibility of the accuser. It looks like he had this planned as he had cameras set up to photograph his client. Unlikely that the client, a politician, would agree to be photographed, which makes the escort one sick pup. The link to the website in the article cited does not work. It says that the website is currently down. Quote
Guest gcursor Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 I commented this on another website but I don't know the reason that the escort felt the need to do this. It just doesn't look good when people start doing these things and casts a shadow over the profession without having a really good reason. I think we are all professionals doing jobs so it doesn't make sense when things like this start occuring. The politician didn't seem homophobic per se and I don't think that he threatened the escort and so on and so forth. oh well. im sure that we dont talk about nuclear secrets or anything like that when we are on encounters. gc Quote
Members alanalt Posted October 21, 2011 Members Posted October 21, 2011 First of all, it must be said that the escort has acted very poorly here. I have a tough time feeling much sympathy for any escort who chooses to 'out' a client, but the reasons given here are pretty shabby sounding, which no doubt explains why said escort's trying to preserve his anonymity while crapping all over his former client's... However, if even a quarter of this stuff is true, I have to wonder how this alleged client ever managed to fly across the US carrying so much stupid! I just can't imagine letting an escort who I only met that night take pictures of me and my ID and keep them! Let alone promise him tens of thousands of dollars in gifts and a car!!! If there's anything to this story, I've got to believe there's a LOT more than has come out so far. Alan Quote

I looked at the website before it went down. The pictures of the middle aged man, laying on the bed in his underwear, appeared to have his eyes closed and possibly be asleep. One wonders if the pictures of the man and his ID's were taken as he was asleep? Ever fell asleep with an escort and left your wallet, ID, etc... laying out? Not every Hotel room has a safe. Quote
Guest gcursor Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Sadly yes, I do it ALL the time. I hire very well-reviewed people and I have never thought that there was need to take extreme precautions. There should be some level of trust after all. gc I looked at the website before it went down. This is probably what happened. Guys like the one he hired give escorts a very bad name. Quote
Members TampaYankee Posted October 22, 2011 Members Posted October 22, 2011 If this story is true then it is a textbook example of why every client should maintain discretion with all escorts unless, overtime with many appointments, you have developed a trust relationship. And I mean over a long time with many engagements that permit to you learn about the other person. Even then it is risky if you are a public figure or otherwise have a high profile. Quote

Falling asleep after hiring an escort for the first time in the wee hours of the morning on what was likely an 'impulse hire' is still a hefty load of STUPID to me, especially if one has just spent time boasting about your government connections and/or holding public office. The guy would have been lucky not to end up robbed or dead. Yeah, I do understand that there are plenty of people who are thinking with the 'wrong head' in these situations, but the situation, as recounted, still leaves me shaking my head and thinking there's a LOT more going on here than was reported, and again that's if anything happened at all. Again, none of the client's actions takes the escort off the hook here; his behaviour was/is reprehensible. But if a client or would-be client can't be bothered to take even the most basic of precautions to protect his own safety with a first-time hire, then he should put himself up as a candidate for the Darwin Awards... Members Lucky Posted October 22, 2011 Members Posted October 22, 2011 There is no limit to stupidity. A few years ago a midwestern politician at the Palm Springs White Party was picked up by a friend of mine. The guy bragged as to his position, and freely mentioned the drugs he had taken. Sure, he trusted us to keep it quiet, but he need not have mentioned it all. Why you would brag to an escort I can only imagine. Possibly us older men want the younger studs to take us seriously. We can't compete in the hot young bod category, so we try to impress in other ways, either our position in life or our financial status. Lucky for me I have no position and no financial status! Oh wait, I am a prolific internet poster. I could brag about that, but it could get me kicked out the door! Quote
