Black Men And HIV Meds

For some reason black men are less likely to take their HIV meds than there white counterparts.

Don't most young men think they are virtually indestructable and will live forever? I know I did or at least intended to be careful enough to give it a go.

Of course, this isn't funny and "everyone" needs to realize they are responsible for their own health and well being to a large extent.

I have no wish to stereotype but don't a lot of less educated folks of every color tend to mistrust medical or other "conventional" advice? Sometimes that mistrust is well founded but usually not.

Eh, I don't have HIV and I'm 42 - but that said, even w hen I was young if my doctor told me to take medication I took it.

Life is work swallowing some pills.
