Members seattlebottom Posted September 5, 2011 Members Posted September 5, 2011 As mentioned on another thread I will be in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area from 10.22.2011-10.26.2011. The primary purpose is to commemorate my 40th year of life. Having never been to the area I would really appreciate some insight from those with knowledge of the city. Are there any haunts I shouldn't let pass? Bus tours I should take? Places I should skip? Any and all suggestions would be most helpful including the best place to stay. I will be arriving and leaving from Burbank. Quote
Guest hitoallusa Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 There are so many things that you can do in LA so I don't know where to start. I would definitely recommend the J Paul Getty Museum. It will easily take a day to see everything there. The view of the city from the museum is amazing. Please check out its event calendar there. http://www.getty.edu/museum/ As mentioned on another thread I will be in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area from 10.22.2011-10.26.2011. Guest Allessio77 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 If you like theater, Hollywood and environs has the best small theater scene in the West. (and its VERY inexpensive) Quote
