Which Airlines offer Premium Economy to Bangkok?

Recommended Posts

Guest lurkerspeaks

Still trying to decide about my next vacation. As of now, my first choice to Thailand. One of the major issues is the length of the flight. (I live in Phoenix)..My fat ass doesn't want to even think about that long of a flight in a "basic" economy seat. I am checked into premium economy on Eva Air. I was wondering what other carriers offer premium economy and if anyone has any recommendations? I have found that it is much cheaper to book the flight out of LAX instead of Phoenix. I can get a cheap flight on Southwest from Phx to LAX. As of yesterday, Premium Economy on Eva from LAX to BKK was running around 1600$....Thanks for any suggestions/recommendations.

You can try several travel agencies. Not american ones but asian ones based in the US. They seem to have tickets for a good price. You can just submit an inquiry via email and they will just email you back with a quote. A friend of mine tried it and it worked out well for him.

Thai Air does Premium Economy the best and the seats are bigger than EVA. I think Cathay does it as well.

For Thai, you can't book direct on their website from Phoenix. You have to call them. Call the LA branch and they will book it all the way for you. I did the same thing last trip from Dallas and it was no more than the fare from LAX.

I have heard the fares are high for a bit. When are you traveling? I'll help and advise as much as possible.

Also, try calling Rhonda at Norcross Travel. People in Thailand seem to love her but I prefer to deal with Thai Air directly. Great Premium Economy.

Thai Airways is offering a special from LAX-BKK on their A340-500 for premium economy seats (but only 47 on the aircraft) for $199 each way + the 1588 economy fare. In other words about $2,000 R-T. I would expect this to be a good ride.

Best regards,

Good deal for now! I have done the Premium Economy on Thai many times and love it. The non stop to Bangkok is great! I love the ride and I find I adjust better on this flight than with others. Not sure why.

I checked my ticket and I paid a bit less than this for my last trip but the prices vary so much depending on when you travel.
