Nice topic bi, I have watched TORCHWOOD since the early series. it took me some time before I got hooked onto it though. i got hooked up to it through the gateway drug tv series DR WHO with David Tenant.

I have been wanting to see the new series on stars for some time now and am now starting to watch them. i think its amazing how the writing team managed to take the 2 individuals of torch wood and weave a whole new series around them. i think im now up to episode 4 or 5 and i tell you the series just keeps getting better and better! there are not a lot of writers who have mastered the 'slow burn" type of tv that makes this tv so engaging to watch. im enjoying this very much though!

how are you liking it?

There's been multiple at this point.

I never watched Torchwood until this year, but man is it good.

The scene above is fairly hot - but the scene last week where Captain Jack bottoms for a rough trade Italian immigrant is even hotter.

Obviously, none of the scenes are porn hot - but for being on a mainstream US channel with ads are more explicit than anything I've seen in a similar venue.

Interestingly, they deleted all the gay sex scenes for the BBC broadcast - so it's one case where American TV is willing to go farther than Europe.

I'm a big fan of Torchwood but had been really disappointed so far. The first 6 episodes sucked, especially Mekai Phifpher (don't care to find out how to spell it). All this week-ass stuff where they're pointing out the differences with Wales or acting out every stereotype they can think of.

BUT I forced myself to keep watching, and the 7th and 8th episodes are fucking GREAT! Unfortunately, that leaves just two more and with ratings being kinda meh they may well be the last two ever.

Is anybody else starting to notice that Jane Espenson's name on a show means it'll fucking suck as long as she holds the reins, then start to rock as soon as she's hired away to start another show off on the wrong foot?

They'll wrap them up in 2 episodes (unless they're planning for another season but they usually wrap them up) because the TORCHWOOD writers are that good. i mean the creativity it takes to get to this is staggering to me.

I just wish there were more than ten episodes. I'm not sure how they are going to wrap up so many loose plot threads in two episodes.
