There was a fascinating article in the NY Times today about a lady who was set up by a guy that raped her. He had a few acquaintances pledge they were robbed by her. She was arrested on 1M bail. After 7 months in jail in NYC, they dropped the charges.

I knew of one guy in NYC who was set up the same way. It took him 4 years to prove his innocence and he was set up for deportation. Things like this happen more than you can imagine.
