Members Lucky Posted July 23, 2011 Members Posted July 23, 2011 The poor guy can't even afford clothing. And we think Brazil is expensive for us! Quote
Members axiom2001 Posted July 25, 2011 Members Posted July 25, 2011 When I visited Foz do Iguacu, I went solo. If this handsome man had been in my company, I probably would have enjoyed myself much, much more! From that experience I advise that one go to these magnificent world wonders with a friend or partner or relative! It's one place where one should NOT be alone! Quote

Members pauleiro Posted July 5, 2015 Members Posted July 5, 2015 Any idea where to stay in Foz de Iguaçu ? I heard that the Argentian side is better. Right ? Is renting a car an option ? Thanks ! Quote
Members axiom2001 Posted July 5, 2015 Members Posted July 5, 2015 Any idea where to stay in Foz de Iguaçu ? I heard that the Argentian side is better. Right ? Is renting a car an option ? Thanks ! Pauleiro, I stayed on the Brasilian side at the only hotel in the park: Hotel das Cataratas, a grand property which is in walking distance of "the falls." ...went to the Argentine side on a tour with two others and a guide. ...visited the Sheraton Hotel and walked and enjoyed myself. ...did tours of interest of the area, the falls as well as in the adjourning towns. All was fun. ...was invited by my initial guide {whose services I chose not to use due to his limited English} to go to a sauna; I declined. ...was driven to a cultural show some distance away, but by my being a solo traveler, my seat was the pits! Also, being driver for some distance and being unable to communicate was a "bummer" as well. But, I highly encourage travelers to take in this experience, and I'd do it again if accompanied by a friend/friends/etc........ ...enjoyed my experience but would not do it alone again! Because of this experience, I think it would have served me best to have been with someone as I mentioned in my previous posts! Quote
