Guest lurkerspeaks Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 I began taking "adult" vacations to Montreal in 2004. It was a year or so after the big raid on Taboo. According to most, the Village has been in a downward spiral ever since. I first visited Rio in 2008. Now, according to the same sources, Rio and the sauna has deteriorated in the last few years. I had hpoed to visit Amsterdam a few years ago, but then 9/11 happened and overseas travel wasn't a great idea at the time.. I hope to make it to Europe or Asia before the end of the year. Am I in for the quick and sudden demise of more of this boards "favorite" places? Was i born ( or just start traveling abroad) a decade too late?? Quote

If I remember correctly, in 2001, there were just two left and they were very uninteresting. And by that same time, ditto the hustler bars which were basically totally taken over by illegal Romanian immigrants. Berlin and Cologne were much better by that time. Quote
