BiBottomBoy Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 This is like the Internet gone mad. First, The Onion does a joke article claiming Planned Parenthood is opening a $8 billion "Abortionplex" that will include family friendly restaurants, a theme park and a shopping mall. http://www.theonion.com/articles/planned-parenthood-opens-8-billion-abortionplex,20476/ Members of the Christian Right then believe the story is real and go nuts on Facebook. http://literallyunbelievable.org/ Someone then gets the idea to put the Abortionplex on Yelp for people to review. http://www.yelp.com/biz/abortionplex-topeka?rpp=40&sort_by=date_desc The reviews are insane and include such gems as: "Worst place to meet gay singles ever." and "I have mixed feelings about this establishment. Yes, it provides inexpensive, reliable abortions in a one-stop setting, throwing in munchies and a bit of R&R for the family. Yes, it makes knocking up your FWB a heck of a lot cheaper - it's even cheaper than birth control, now.! I was grateful for that. But what about all the small Mom'n'Pop abortionists being driven out of business? They're more expensive, admittedly, but they are (or were) a vital part of the local economy. They'd greet you by name, ask you how it happened this time, share their corny abortion jokes. When I was a kid, my mama's abortionist would always give us lollipops and tweak my sister's nose and ask when she'd come in for her first. That part of small town American life will be gone forever, soon." Quote
