Guest StevenDraker Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Um, considering that he posted the day before yesterday, why do you ask? I haven't posted here in a while and I didn't see him in the TOP posters. Thanks, Charlie. Quote
Members RA1 Posted May 30, 2011 Members Posted May 30, 2011 Is Lucky still a round ....what? I know I am more round than I want to be. Best regards, RA1 Quote
Members RA1 Posted May 31, 2011 Members Posted May 31, 2011 Just how bored are you? OK, please remember I was just kidding on both of my posts on this thread and they had nothing to do with Lucky personally. Just going for a play on words. Best regards, RA1 Quote
BiBottomBoy Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Not bored at all. Hell I spent much of the last week in Paris seeing Cat Stevens and then The Wall. But I like Lucky and wanted to say something nice about him. What's wrong with that? Quote
Members RA1 Posted June 1, 2011 Members Posted June 1, 2011 Not a thing. Again, I was just using a little, apparently a very little, word play. Board-bored. Around- a round. Get it? Best regards, RA1 Quote
Members Lucky Posted June 3, 2011 Members Posted June 3, 2011 The word "round" was appropriate as I have been in Oakland, CA watching the last 3 baseball games that they played against the NY Yankees. The Yankees won all 3. I had great seats, costing about $66 each. They would have been over $400 each in the Stadium. I have never been able to snag a seat behind home plate before, but got 3 of them this time, including one only 8 rows back. But it was cold and I lost my wallet! Quote

Glad you are OK and got to see some games. I was beginning to get worried myself. Sorry about the wallet. I know that sucks. BUT, if you don't have ID anymore, how do we know this is our Lucky and not the person who took his ID? Quote
Members Lucky Posted June 3, 2011 Members Posted June 3, 2011 I'll figure out a way to let you know it is me....hehehe. Quote
Members Lucky Posted June 4, 2011 Members Posted June 4, 2011 Keeping the focus on this Lucky guy, oops, I mean me, today I received the last gift that my mom had bought me. She loved to shop at crafts fairs, and was pretty good at it herself in years past. My sister was left to clean out my mom's stuff, and she found this set of towels that my mom had purchased. Each was for a different day of the week, and each had two Scottie dogs playing different scenes on them. Of course, the bf and I have two Scottie dogs. So, here it is months later and my mom is still peeking in on me. I wonder what is next. Quote

But getting back to those seats. It's one of the (many) thinks I hate about NY baseball - the prices!! All those guys who loved baseball as a kid, now want to take their kids, and they have to practically mortgage the house to do it. Quote
Members Lucky Posted June 4, 2011 Members Posted June 4, 2011 But what is truly amazing is how many families with kids are sitting in the expensive seats. It's unbelievable. Quote
Members Lucky Posted March 4, 2012 Members Posted March 4, 2012 I could update this thread on baseball, as I am going to Phoenix Sunday to see my first ever spring training game. Today I tried to buy tickets to see the Yankees play the Angels in Anaheim this summer. Tickets went on sale at 9:00 am. I got on at 9:01, and all seats were gone. Same thing happened last year. So I am glad I got tickets to see 5 Yankee games this year in Oakland, at much cheaper prices than Anaheim, and much, much cheaper than at Yankee Stadium. I think the Angels sale is fixed so the Stub Hubs and re-salers get them all. Damn trouble is I have to fly to Oakland, get a hotel, and a car! Quote
Guest hitoallusa Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Come to think of it where did Beachboy go??? Quote
