Should you post your travel plans?

Thought I would post about letting others know where you are traveling..It was several years ago that I first starting traveling to Montreal, thanks to posters at the old Hooboy's site. I had read for quite awhile about the exciting times that visitors were having in Montreal, so I decided to go see what it was all about. I posted my travel plans, and that first trip, I met both firecat and jaynnj....As I planned future return visits, I was lucky enough to meet many other posters. We shared meals, drinks, even a dancer or two..

Excuse me if I forget anyone, but my travels have enabled me to meet Newatthis, townsendplocke, eeyore, lucky, oliver, tomcal, bozo da clown, shyguy, hoover42, bakopanda, jackhammer.

Then on one of my visits to Montreal, I met up with TxAlphadog. We ended up hanging out for the entire trip. We both liked the same type boys. We shared common interests outside of the strip clubs as well. Even though we live in different parts of the US, we have arranged approximately 4-5 trips to Montreal together, and this upcoming trip to Rio will be our third trip to South America together. What started out as a "not so innocent" trip to Montreal ended up as the start of a very real, very good friendship.

So, announce your trips.. meet up with fellow posters.. sift through the personalities. (sure, there are some you might not want to see again, but there are plenty who are great people). Open your mind, and your heart and see what and who is out there.. We already have one commonality (the love of the male form).. see what else we might share.

There used to be a dedicated Traveling Members forum which I thought was a good idea for posters who wanted to share their travel plans and meet up with other members if their travel plans happened to be in sync. It was especially useful for Montreal trips in the summer. Whatever happened to it?

I will post it if I go on a vacation. Not on my business trips, however. I wonder what it would be like if you are on a business trip and a negotiator from the other side of the table happens to be from this site. It would be awkward. Don't you think? Will it ever happen?

There is a co-worker of mine who hired the same escort. BTW he is not out at all and he doesn't know that I know. But I think he knows that we hired the same escort. Every time he looks at me it makes me uncomfortable or seems like he is avoiding me. Nothing to worry about. He is a professional guy. Now be careful of an anti-gay female co-worker. If she finds out she will do anything to advance her career at the expense of others. I am not sure why they get so mean sometimes.

In the past members felt that we had too many inactive forums and wanted to see them removed. The Leisure Class Travel Forum was one of those seldom utilized and suggested for removal. If there is a significant demand it will be brought back.

Personally, I don't think we need to add another forum.. I say just post your travel plans in the most appropriate section.. such as the "hot spots" forum if you are going to Montreal or Ft Lauderdale.. the South of the border section for Rio, etc.. or you can always just post in the general "hooboy" forum... We get so little activity as it is, why spread it even thinner?

Yeah I was just going to say, if I had a trip coming up I'd look in those sections. (It makes me sad that I have no travel plans right now!)

Posting travel plans is not only a good idea for clients, but also escorts too. I have met several great escorts in travel destinations that have shown me the highlites of their cities and without them, may have missed out on some great local culture. So, I agree for both sides that this can be highly beneficial. Who knows who you'll meet in traveling it can be a great adventure.

I've met several wonderful contributors to this site when they posted their travel plans. I also met Oliver when I posted my travel plans to his locale a few years ago.

It's a wonderful way to put a face to some of the screen names.

Okay - on Sunday, May 1, I (hopefully, if my car is repaired) I will be returning to Ohio from Paradise (Palm Springs). First stop is Phoenix (want to test the car - oh, and see Brandon Williams if possible :P ), then Santa Rosa, NM, Oklahoma, St. Louis, and finally home.

Last year I was delighted to see One again in SLC. He was a great host and tour guide.

This year it's pretty much the same way home as the trip out. Wish me well on my journey!

P.S. And I've met some fine people through posting travel plans in the past - in Atlanta, Vancouver, Seattle, Chicago, LA, NYC, and DC to name a few.
