Showtime has launched a new reality series about male escorts in Las Vegas. It follows five real guys earning their living as high-end male escorts in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, they are all straight male escorts catering only to women clientele. It's kind of lame but I'm enjoying it anyway. I guess it helps that I'm usually into the second glass of wine when I tune in. Here's a link to further info if you are interested: Gigolos

I found the show very boring and just like all of the other reality TV crap that I can't stand.

I know exactly what you mean. There is actually very little on TV these days that isn't crap.

Reality shows are much cheaper to produce - hence the proliferation. The average American audience (and I include Canada in that) has been dumbed down to the point where they think this is entertainment.

And as for them being "reality", I say bullshit. They are mostly scripted at least to the point where the participants are given an outline of how the producers want the show to go. Add to that the "editing" process and you end up with more fantasy than fact.

Richard Greico is the executive producer of Showtime's Gigolos, which I saw once and deemed unwatchable. But he's fired some of his talent this year, and intends on shaking things up by requiring someone go gay for pay. "We have to. We're going to entertain all avenues next season. I seriously thought this was one of the worst things ever on TV and that's saying a lot. But I am not a fan of any reality TV other than singing competition shows (which is really the new variety show).

Expat, have they finished auditioning for clients for the gay for pay segments? If not, how much do the roles pay?

Curious minds want to know!

I don't know. What I posted was the first time I heard they were going for the gay market next season. I suspect like anything in Hollywood they already know people personally. . .

LOL, maybe Travolta was researching his upcoming role as an aging star seeking a LTR with young Gay For Pay?

Let's read books instead of watching TV...

Their fourth season finale is airing soon on Showtime. I really never liked these guys. One of them used to be a go go boy at Micky's in Weho. But I wouldn't hire any of them frankly.

I ran into one of the "Gigolos" from last season recently here at an event in Las Vegas...I went over & introduced myself & gave him my card..his jaw hit the floor when he read it.

I KNOW it's taking minutes away from my life each time I watch it, YET......(I think I just like seeing the places in town, as WELL as some people I know who are "actors" in the show).

At one point in time, I actualy took a meeting in in town with a producer who wanted to do an all gay version of this, with myself & a few other Vegas escorts....the verdict:? It's not "real!"...lol

I've seen most of the episodes. every season nick seems to expand that tattoo. The women on the show however are not real clients but actresses hired to act out examples of what goes on with clients. also the sex on the show is only simulated with no actual penetration.. most of the guys only work part time and have other jobs outside of the escorting...
