How to Get Rid of Everything Appearing Centered

Recommended Posts

as a moderator of a forum on a web site that (at least in part) only continues to survive because of advertising revenue such a recommendation is perhaps a tad unwise!

Maybe so. Now that the web site will certainly go offline because I revealed such a deep, dark secret that people could not possibly have discovered on their own, I guess I'll have to take the blame.

I can, however, help you a little bit with getting rid of the banners. I use Adblock plus, which is a free program. You can download it at http://adblockplus.org/en .

No good. Tried it. Doesn't work with IE 7.

The silence from GT and Stef re the centering problem is increasingly deafening. Seems they are just NOT interested.

I use the Firefox browser, which after becoming accustomed to it, I like much better than IE 7 anyhow. It works beautifully with Firefox. Why not give it a try?

I am not trying to be silent. I can't replicate the issue. I have tested on Mac Safari and Firefox and on Windows IE and Firefox and do not get the enter problem. I have asked the programmers to look into it and they are unable to get the same problem. I am not saying that it doesn't exist as many have had the issue, we are just trying to figure out how to fix something we can't see ourselves.

Why not just restore the 'IPB 2.2.0 default' option and make it available at the bottom of the page for readers to select or not, as they wish? It worked fine until someone removed it about two weeks ago !

For GB. Why should I need to change my browser? I like IE7 just fine and this is the ONLY site I have problems with.

It's the only short-term suggestion I can come up with. I have nothing to do with the actual programing, so I cannot personally fix the problem or restore the 'IPB 2.2.0 default' option. I don't know what happened to it any more than you do. All I can tell you is that Firefox works beautifully with this site and the problem doesn't exist for me. I do know that both Stef and GayThailand read the board and they are aware of the problem. I cannot speak to why they have not commented about it, but I am sure they are trying to fix the problem.

Is anyone else out there who uses IE 7 experiencing the same problem Buaseng is having?

There was a problem with people uploading php script files when that option was there. Thus, there is a security issue. The programmers are working toward fixing the issue. I am not a programmer and can't fix it. I do pay someone to do this but they have not yet been able to find a solution. My apologies for your inconvenience.
