Aaron Lawrence: Happy Birthday to the boy who started it all

Hooboy started this site many years ago. I believe his first review was of Aaron Lawrence who I had the chance of meeting several times. Aaron wrote a book on escorting for men and help pave the way for many male escorts in the business.

Happy Birthday Aaron!

Happy Birthday Aaron!

And he would be, how old?

Interesting to note you said "chance of meeting" not "pleasure of meeting", or was that just a poor choice of words?

Zipperzone if I'm not mistaken. Here is the website for Aaron Lawrence. He is 39 years old (as of early 2011) but he still looks so hot. I can't believe that he is 39 years old.

Sorry, but he never did do it for me in the looks department.

Oz, you may know more than, I but as I recall HooBoy telling it, he was so exhilirated by an assignation with Aaron that he wanted to tell the world (gay escort hiring world anyway). He posted a 'review' of his encounter on webpage he created specially for the purpose. He got so much positive feedback from it that he was inspired to start a litte escort review website. The rest is history.

Thus Aaron was HooBoy's inspiration and Hooboy was the inspiration to hundreds of us, maybe more. He didn't invent hiring escorts but he did make it a much less of an uncertain experience for many by fostering communication and sharing of information about the experience, in general, and hundreds of individual escorts, in particular. So Aaron is much more of a lynchpin in modern gay escorting than even his book credits him with. That book is out of print but still in demand as paperback versions are quoted online in the seventy plus dollar range if you can find a copy.

Yeah, me neither. I've never met him in person, of course, but from other things I've seen of him I always want to wipe that smirk off his face. There's something about him I don't trust. Weird, right. :purple:

What has he ever done to warrant such disdain and disrespect?

I never met the man and he is not my type but so what. He was HooBoy's type and hundreds of not thousands of others.

What's up with dissing and pissing on someone you dont even know first hand and as far as I know never heard anything substantially negative about. Don't we have better things to do than to take cheap shots? I's true that success breeds contempt, but I'm not sure why.

Hey - hold on just a minute here. I don't think anything that has been said equals "disdain & disrespect" Two posters (myself included) have said they never cared for his looks and one said there is something about him that he does not trust. That is NOT disrespect. It is simply stating an opinion.

And as for "pissing" on him - I'm sure it wouldn't be the first time someone has pissed on him and I mean that in the literal sense.

I agree that we don't want to see this site turn into the bitterfest that Daddy's seems to encourage, but we don't have to be Mary Poppins either.

Well I don't think Daddy encourages bitterfest over the other site. I believe he has his share of hard time maintaining the site over there. I bet the moderators over here do too. Anyways, I don't think what zipperzone said is neither disdainful or disrespectful. People can have a different view on many things. Some will choose to express it and some will not for many reasons. Maybe I should not have commented on Aaron's appearance and this could have been avoided.

I have learned two things from these sites. We are all different but the very aspect leads us to create and invent new things. We have two different sites, annual events and more local get together events will pop up. I think all those events and gatherings will lead to something new that will benefit both clients and escorts in the future. If we are all same, talk same and write same then I don't think it will be stimulating and exciting at all.

Recently, a guy who was working for me had personal troubles. I was about to give up on him but my friend didn't. She figured out a way to make him do his work. I was amazed by her approach and realized that I need to unlearn somethings and think differently from time to time. She saved him from getting fired and his reputation and made him finish his job. Let's not discourage people expressing their thoughts. I don't think there are no bad thoughts. They are just different and we have to learn to work with it and communicate. Hope this makes sense.
