TotallyOz
One of the truly greatest ladies in theater died today. She was 79. Rest in Peace Elizabeth. You will be missed!

BiBottomBoy
The last of the real movie stars.
Members ihpguy
Other movie stars are still out there. Just not ones with all of the public baggage. Olivia de Havilland and her sis, Joan Fontaine come immediately to my mind. Without the public spells of alcohol and drug abuse. And a little spicy Sophia Loren balanced by apple pie Doris Day? Shirley "Give My Daughter The Shot" MacLaine?
Guest hitoallusa
Rest in Peace. She did a lot as an HIV/AIDS activist. You will be greatly missed Elizabeth.
Guest EXPAT
I'm not sure if you caught this but, Elizabeth Taylor, in keeping with her sense of humor, put it in writing that she was to arrive fashionably late to her own funeral. And in fact she did. Her body arrived 15 minutes late to her own funeral at her own request. A fitting end to a woman who had a great sense of style and a great sense of humor.
