It was an ongoing battle with her record company where they would use her voice but use sexy young women to lipsync her songs. She even won a law suit against Black Box for that very thing. But her voice is so iconic, it's hard to miss. She was also featured in the now famous only hit from Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch "Good Vibrations". Quote
