Third Stop - Rio - Suck Cinema

I forgot to report that when I was in Rio I visited a suck cinema called Cine Rex. It’s a two minutes walk from the starting point of Lonely Planet’s walking tour of central Rio - Cinelandia metro. I shall only report my impressions, and refrain from repeating the whole setup. I cannot – indeed dare not – compete with Gingado’s post on the subject (January 11, on GTB’s forum “sex clubs and cinemas”). He waxed poetic in what is truly a literary masterpiece, turning a sleazy place into a wonderland of lust and erotic-sensual atmosphere.

Enternace is 10 $R! Inside there were about 30 men seating dispersed, many seats apart. A few were wanking; hardly anyone was conducting sexual intereaction. In the ‘dark room’ on the left (room? half a cabine is more likely), there was something going on. I’m not sure, but I think someone was sucking and about 5 others were either ‘watching’ (in real total darkness) and/or waiting for their turn. Since there were a lot of men going in and out of the WC on the right side, I went to check it out. Turned out that everyone was just taking a leak, and I really don’t understand why so many were doing so. I stood there for quite some time; no sexual activity at all. A hustler approached me - the only young man I saw there – and offered himself for 100 $R! Of course I said no, his phone buzzed, and that was that.

There were quite a lot of men standing along the back wall and behind the last row. That’s where I saw some action. One walked up the aisle toward the back, stopped at an occupied seat adjacent to the aisle, causually unzipped, and the man in the seat started sucking. The suckee just stood there, face totally passive and bored, as if nothing at all was happening to arguably his most vital organ! I never knew anyone could seem so indifferent while being sucked!!

A block of seats away, a man was leaning on the back of the last row being fucked from behind, again neither looks nor talk nor sounds of passion exchanged. Two men having sex, while ignoring each other. Since I have no experience in dark rooms, I guess that’s what happens there most of the time. Personally I couldn’t fathom having sex or taking a cock in my mouth, without previously talking with my partner-for-the-moment, indeed without even having seen his face. Specifically at that ‘cinema’, I guess that in 96% of the cases, the cock being sucked would be rather old and shriveled; not an attractive phantasy to hold in one’s imagination while working one’s mouth.

But I was in Brazil also in order to have first-in-a-lifetime experiences. I sat down, lounging back and low with my legs spread, intentionally leaving a vacant seat between me and the aisle. I think it took five long minutes for someone to sit next to me. From what I could see he was young (forty-ish?) given the average age there, and unfortunately for me had the beginning of a beard. He didn’t lose much time, sent his hand in, found what he wanted, and immediately went to work. Though as always wishing to hold out as long as possible, given the circumstances it was over very quickly. I’m quite sure he was disappointed. He moved away to his next conquest, not a word exchanged.

I think I had two experiences that day: first and last in a lifetime.

I have always wanted to go to this venue but was indeed apprehensive due to my lack of knowing the language and my acute shyness. After reading previous posts about this cinema (sexual haunt) and yours here as well as at Drey's site, I must encourage my traveling buddy to put this in our itinerary for October, too!

I went today to Rex Cine and Sexy Rose, close to Metro Cinelandia.

I arrived at Rex Cine around 2 pm. When you enter the place, it seems it is pitch dark and you need to stop walking until your eyes accomodate to the low level of light.

A straight porn movie is on screen and you can see many people moving around.

After some time, you can see the inside of the place. It is an old cinema, certainly from the first half of last century, with a stage for live performance and a large open area in front of the stage which used to accomodate orchestras a few tens of years ago. There are also balconies but they are not accessible (or I could not find the way up).

The cinema itself is really large, with maybe 500 seats on the ground floor. Male and Female toilets are on the right, together with a small darkroom which is pitch dark, and your eyes cannot accomodate to see what is going on inside. Your ears, however do, and there is obviously some action going on in this place.

When I arrived, more than 50 persons were already in the place. Some sitting in the armchairs, some walking around. ALl types of males inside, young, not so young, not so old, old, black, white, latinos, shemales... And a lot of group action going on. Some of the visitors are wanking just outside the toilets, in the light. Huge tools. Others prefer group action, gathering around a couple perfoming oral sex, mutually wanking, of sucking. Lot of sucking everywhere.

For a voyeur, it is relatively hot, even though it is too dark.

And of course lot of action in the armchairs. It seems it is the rule to sit in the armchairs and to leave one or two empty seats until the end of the row, so that someone can join you, and suck you. You start wanking first and when a partner joins, interested by your tool on display, he starts sucking you. Not a word is said, as usually in these places. A few guys did remove all their clothes.

I did not do anything in this place, just touched a couple of cocks, but it was fun and hot watching. I even saw one couple fucking, bareback of course. Worth going there once, but I do not see any interest in going back again.

The Sexy Rose place which is next door to Cinema Rex, Rua Alvaro Alvim 37, is a place originally selling sex toys and DVDs. It is much worse than Cine Rex. Much smaller. Only cabins. Most of them are closed with one person inside. Glory holes between the cabins. Others people are cruising outside. I had read that great looking guys were indeed going there. I did not see any. And since action (if any) takes place in the cabins, there nothing to look at. I left after 10 minutes (while I stayed more than one hour in the movie).

Both places are safe, as far as I can tell, and the surroundings at this time of the day, were totally safe. After the sessions, I ate something at the Amerelinha restaurant near by, while looking at the people around and I saw one lad coming from the Cinema Rex. I recognized him, because, of his cap, his backpack and his look. He looked not so bad in the cinema, but in the street, he looked terrible.

Entrance to both places is 10 Reais. You can keep them and drink and eat Cocos on the beach instead !
