Sorry to hear about this. Always sad to see a great icon from the past pass from the scene. Make me more aware of the world I knew passing and my own pending mortality.

I always enjoyed Jane Russell. Of all the sex goddesses of the late 40’s and the 50’s she was the most down to earth and seemed to have her head on straight. Tampa your comment: “Make me more aware of the world I knew passing and my own pending mortality” is so true for me as well – nicely said.

I, too, hate to see MS. Russell pass. She was/is one of my favorites.
