Guest FourAces Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 I've played late at night in the Bellagio poker room countless times. Walking around the casino at 4 or 5 in the morning there normally is not a lot of action. But it astounds me that a guy wearing a motorcycle helmet, holding a gun, and running through the casino after it was just robbed did not draw any attention. I know the area he was running in and its not a few feet ... this guy ran a fair distance. http://news.yahoo.com/video/us-15749625/high-price-heist-vegas-gunman-steals-1-5-million-23518823 BTW if you happen to have a $25,000. Bellagio chip you must cash it in by April 22nd. Quote
TotallyOz Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 How long do you think before the guy ends up dead? Quote
Members Lucky Posted December 30, 2010 Members Posted December 30, 2010 The Bellagio robs me every time I play there! Quote
Members eeyore Posted December 30, 2010 Members Posted December 30, 2010 I read today in the WSJ that the Bellagio is discontinuing the $25,000 chip because of this robbery. Players have until April, I think, to cash them in. After that they will be worthless. Won't be a problem for me though.. Quote
Members TampaYankee Posted December 31, 2010 Members Posted December 31, 2010 This has got to be one of the more stupid criminal blunders on record -- stealng a million plus $ in very large demonination chips from the only place on earth that will cash them. What did the idiot think these were, bearer bonds. I guess he figured he could fence them for a percentage. That is, unless the casino decided to call in all outstanding chips and replace them. Yeah, pretty stupid. Not your basic criminal mastermind. I guess he can always melt them down for the plastic recycle dollars. Quote
